摘要: A location system is used in a vehicle moving within an area at a selected speed and in a selected direction. A heading sensor provides a heading signal representing the direction of movement of the vehicle. A speed sensor provides a speed signal based on available reference signals representing the speed of the vehicle. A storage device stores initial position data representing a selected initial position of the vehicle and checkpoint data representing a navigation checkpoint location. A database stores a plurality of records which each include geographic information data representing selective aspects of the area. A processor estimates a current position signal representing an estimated current position of the vehicle based on values of the heading signal, values of the speed signal, the initial position signal, and on previous values of the current position signal. Values of the current position signal correspond to records stored in the data base. A correction device selectively corrects the current position signal based on selected position inputs which indicate an approximate vehicle position relative to the navigation checkpoint location. An alerting device obtains an alerting signal indicating that the vehicle has reached a selected region within the area based on the current position signal and the geographic information data.

摘要: A material transfer system including a first vehicle and a second vehicle. The first vehicle has a pressurized compartment maintaining a first air pressure therein. The ambient air outside of the pressurized compartment is at a second air pressure, with the first air pressure being different than the second air pressure thereby defining a pressure differential. The second vehicle has a material discharge device. The material discharge device is capable of delivering material to the first vehicle. The second vehicle having a reservoir for receiving the material. The material passing from the reservoir into the pressurized compartment without substantial loss of the pressure differential.

摘要: An agricultural irrigation assembly includes a water supply header and a plurality of drip tapes fluidly coupled with the supply header. Each drip tape consists essentially of a biodegradable plastic material. A catalyst dispenser is in fluid communication with the supply header. The catalyst dispenser contains a catalyst for initiating fast degradation of the biodegradable plastic material.

摘要: An irrigation control valve has two movable members that can independently or in combination block the flow of water in a conduit, or be fully retracted of at some point in-between. A moisture sensitive element is arranged to be placed in contact with the soil and expands or retracts dependent on the moisture within soil adjacent the moisture sensitive element. The moisture sensitive element is connected or coupled to a moisture controlled member. Dependent on the moisture of the soil adjacent the moisture sensitive element, the moisture controlled member is moved further into the conduit with increasing moisture in the soil. The moisture controlled member and an electronically controlled member are located adjacent each other at the conduit. The electronically controlled member determines how far the moisture controlled member needs to move in order to fully block the flow of water in the conduit. An electronic controller is operable to determine the achieved level of moisture in the soil, by means of the electronically controlled actuator and the electronically controlled member.

摘要: Application programming interfaces and methods that provide graph management in a peer-to-peer (P2P) network are provided. More specifically, new and improved P2P application programming interfaces (APIs) and methods for the creation and access of graphs, the retrieval of node and graph information, the addition, modification, deletion and management of records (data), the importation and exportation of graph data, the direct communication between graph nodes, the addition of a security provider to a graph, the setting and retrieval of presence information, the registering for event notifications, and other utility and support functions are presented. Each of these interfaces utilize various parameters that are passed in from an application program that uses these interfaces to manage and utilize graphs. The interfaces return a value that indicates the success or failure of the function. For failures, the interfaces provide an indication as to the problem resulting in the failure.

摘要: A computer with an extensible framework for facilitating communication between a software component installed on the computer and a device driver that executes functions in response to vendor-specific command objects (e.g., OIDs). The framework defines data structures and a standardized format for defining and implementing private interfaces. After selecting a private interface that is commonly supported by a software component and a driver, a private communication path may be established by an operating system component to facilitate the transfer of command information from the software component to the driver. The private communication path allows commands packaged as OIDs to be routed from software components to intended drivers. By defining private interfaces which route commands from software components to intended drivers, the extensible framework mitigates potential incompatibilities that may arise when drivers created by different vendors include OIDs with the same OID value.
