Abstract: A device for transferring an object from a dead plate of an Individual Section glass-forming machine to a conveyor belt is disclosed. The device includes a first shaft rotatable about an axis. A housing is attached to the first shaft. A carrying arm is slidably mounted on the housing and has a finger at one end for engaging the object. A guide piece having a groove is attached to the other end of the carrying arm. A crank arm engages the groove. The crank arm is connected to a second shaft coaxial with the first shaft. The shafts rotate independently of one another. Each shaft has its own drive unit. Rotation of the first shaft rotates the carrying arm about the first axis and rotation of the second shaft causes sliding motion of the carrying arm along its longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A for horizontally transferring at least one hollow glass object from a dead plate of each section of an I.S. (Individual Section) glass-forming machine to a conveyor belt which is common to all sections is characterised by a transfer device (30) which is connected via a carrying bar (42) to a guide piece (35) which can be displaced along two guide rods (36) which are disposed in a housing (13) in parallel with each other at a mutually spaced disposition and extending in a horizontal manner. A freely rotatable roller (32) which is disposed on one end of a crank (28) engages in a groove (34) of the guide piece which extends in a perpendicular manner with respect to the two guide rods (36), wherein the crank (28) can rotate about an axis (8) which extends in parallel with the axis of the roller (32). The housing (13) is mounted for this purpose via a hollow shaft (9) which extends coaxially with respect to the axis (8) and inside which hollow shaft is mounted in turn a shaft (11) which drives the crank (28) and is operatively connected to a drive unit (22). The drive unit 22) thus serves to displace the transfer device (30) via the crank (28) and the guide piece (35) in the longitudinal direction of the carrying bar (42), whereas a further drive unit (14) which is drive-connected to the hollow shaft (9) is intended to rotate the transfer device (30) about the axis (8). The device requires an extraordinarily small volume of installation space and is characterised by a structurally simple construction.

Abstract: A process for the coating of the flow channels of a cylindrical, honeycomb form catalyst carrier with a dispersion coating through filling of the vertically oriented flow channels with a fill quantity of the coating dispersion through the bottom face of the catalyst carrier and subsequent downward emptying and clearance extraction of the flow channels, as well as drying and calcination of the catalyst carrier, by the following steps:a) filling of the flow channels with a fill quantity that is about 10% greater than the empty volume of the flow channels, so that the coating dispersion goes over the upper face of the catalyst carrier after completion of the filling cycle,b) removal of the excess coating dispersion at the top before emptying of the flow channels andc) emptying and clearance extraction of the flow channels through an extraction impulse, which is generated by connection of a vacuum tank with the bottom face of the catalyst carrier, whereby the time between the beginning of the fill cycle and the end of the emptying and clearance extraction amounts to no more than 5 seconds.

Abstract: A method of recovering a signal representing the phase difference between a local carrier signal and the carrier of an amplitude and/or phase shift keyed received signal involves dividing the received signal into two cartesian oriented signal components which are a function of the phase difference and have a quadrature relationship to one another. Each pair of cartesian oriented signal components, representing one of a plurality of possible signal states, is converted into two polar oriented signal components. A decision is made as to which ones of the permitted, unfalsified polar signal components come closest to the polar signal components of the received signals. The phase difference is derived from a comparison between the result of the decision and the received polar signal components.

Abstract: The invention relates to a bus coupler which converts a network-specific telegram arriving from an external network to an internal data telegram which transmits only the payload data from the network-specific telegram. The internal data telegram also contains at least one state information field for internal control information. The internal data telegram is transferred from the bus coupler to an internal bus system to which multiple bus users are connected in series. Each bus user connected to the internal bus system is able to monitor, in a decentralized and preferably autonomous manner, the communication quality of the lower-level bus system, and to initiate actions, depending on the implementation, on the basis of the internal control information received from the bus coupler, the internal control information generated by the particular bus user, and/or the internal control information received from the directly adjacent bus users.
