摘要： An adjustable stacker bar assembly includes a pad assembly having a lower pad that is mounted to a push bar. The lower pad is in direct contact with and independently mounted to the push bar. An upper pad is mounted to and spaced apart from the lower pad by a spacer. The spacer is free of contact with the push bar. The pads contact and push glass articles into an annealing furnace. The entire pad assembly is readily vertically movable relative to the push bar in the event that a workpiece is lodged beneath the lower pad.

摘要： A mold opening and closing mechanism includes an aligning mechanism which has a horizontal mounting plate including a number of vertical openings for the number of molds, that is supported by a pair of spaced vertical uprights secured to the section frame top surface. A plurality of aligning cylinders are located in the vertical openings in the horizontal mounting plate and move parallel with the mold holder motion. Each cylinder includes surfaces configured to mate with the clamping surfaces of the mold holders. The axis of one of the aligning cylinders is held but not clamped at the theoretical centerline so it can move to the actual centerline when the mold holders are located at the advanced clamped closed position. A position transducer is mounted parallel with the mold holder motion to sense movement of the axis of one of the aligning cylinders and a computer receiving positional data from the transducer compares the theoretical centerline with the actual centerline determined from the data and defines a displacement offset for the displacement program to align the mold holders to the theoretical centerline.

摘要： A glassware manufacturing system in which hot glass containers from an individual section machine are directed by an endless conveyor through a container inspection station. A container to be removed from the conveyor is identified by the inspection equipment for calibration purposes. An air jet is controlled by the inspection equipment for selectively removing the container from the conveyor into a trap, within which a progressively increasing force is applied to the container for arresting motion of the container without physical damage. The container may then be removed from the trap by an operator for manual inspection to calibrate the inspection equipment.

摘要： A parison transferring device for use in transferring glass parisons from a parison forming mold to a blow mold. The device comprises gripping members operable to grip or release a parison. The gripping members are movable about a horizontal axis between a gripping position and a releasing position. A cylinder is mounted on a horizontal shaft and has the gripping members mounted thereon. A piston is movable in the cylinder and is screw-threadedly connected to the shaft so that movement along the cylinder causes the piston to rotate about the horizonal axis. A driving connection between the piston and cylinder causes the cylinder to rotate when the piston does so.

Cooling means sucks air downwards through the dead plate so that the air flows past the article cooling it. The cooling means may comprise an air mover whose input end abuts the underside of the dead plate. A shroud may be provided which surrounds the article to force the air to flow downwards past the article.
