A method includes storing processing blocks and storing an application graph that expresses the identity of the stored processing blocks and data connectivity therebetween. The application graph can be traversed by a graphical application platform at run time to execute appropriate blocks. A game development and run time system includes a graphical application platform that enables a game application to run on any of multiple hardware platforms. The graphical application platform has an application real time kernel, a plurality of standard features implemented as executable blocks of logic, and connections between blocks that implement data flow between the blocks. Capabilities of the game application and any of the hardware platforms can be implemented modularly by adding additional corresponding blocks and connections.

    摘要: Interactive geographic information systems (GIS) and techniques provide users with a greater degree of flexibility, utility, and information. A markup language facilitates communication between servers and clients of the interactive GIS, which enables a number of GIS features, such as network links (timebased and/or view-dependent dynamic data layers), ground overlays, screen overlays, placemarks, 3D models, and stylized GIS elements, such as geometry, icons, description balloons, polygons, and labels in the viewer by which the user sees the target area. Also, “virtual tours” of user-defined paths in the context of distributed geospatial visualization is enabled. Streaming and interactive visualization of filled polygon data are also enabled thereby allowing buildings and other such features to be provided in 3d. Also, techniques for enabling ambiguous search requests in a GIS are provided.

    摘要: A system and method is provided for determining the location of a device based on image of objects captured by the device. In one aspect, an interior space includes a plurality of objects having discernable visual characteristics disposed throughout the space. The device captures an image containing one or more of the objects and identifies the portions of the image associated with the objects based on the visual characteristics. The visual appearance of the objects may also be used to determine the distance of the object to other objects or relative to a reference point. Based on the foregoing and the size and shape of the image portion occupied by the object, such as the height of an edge or its surface area, relative to another object or a reference, the device may calculate its location.

    摘要: Aspects of the disclosure pertain to matching a selected image/photograph against a database of reference images having location information. The image of interest may include some location information itself, such as latitude/longitude coordinates and orientation. This location information may be based on information obtained when the user's device interacts with base stations or other access points in a wireless communication network, such as signal strength information. The location information is used as an estimated location. The image of interest and the estimated location are used to select one or more cells to match the image against. Each cell may have multiple images and an index. The image is compared against specific cells, and if a match is found, a front end server identifies the correct location and orientation of the received image, and may correct errors in the estimated location of the user device.
