Abstract:
A printer capable of simultaneously forming planographic printing surface and printing ink images. The printer comprises a control unit, a plate feeding unit for continuously feeding a printing plate formed by coating an oil-repellent sheet with a fusible lipophilic thermal film, a plate making unit having a thermal head for locally and selectively heating lipophilic thermal film according to electric signals to remove portions of the lipophilic thermal film to make a planographic printing surface having a printing area, an inking unit having an inking roller for applying a liquid ink to the planographic printing surface of the printing plate, a transfer unit comprising a platen roller for continuously feeding a recording medium, and a pressure roller for pressing the planographic printing surface of the printing plate against the recording medium to transfer the inked pattern of the printing area to the recording medium. The control unit controls the plate feeding unit, the plate making unit, the linking unit and the transfer unit for synchronous operation so that the planographic printing surface is formed continuously while the inked pattern of the printing area of the printing plate is transferred continuously to the recording medium.

Abstract:
A color recording medium package for use on a heat transfer color printer in producing multicolor print. The color recording medium package comprises a recording sheet supporting member, a recording sheet supported on the recording sheet supporting member, an endless color ink ribbon having a plurality of color sections respectively coated with a plurality of color inks, and put on the recording sheet supporting member so as to extend for sliding movement around the recording sheet supporting member, a ribbon feed member associated with the color ink ribbon to locate the color sections sequentially in front of the recording sheet supported on the recording sheet supporting member, and a cassette accommodating the assembly of the recording sheet supporting member, the recording sheet, the color ink ribbon and the ribbon feed member. The color recording medium package is set in the printing station of the heat transfer color printer and the color ink ribbon is moved after a color pattern has been printed on the recording sheet by using one of the color sections to locate the next color section in front of the recording sheet for the subsequent printing operation. The color recording medium package is applicable also to an image taking system comprising an image taking device such as a camera, and a heat transfer color printer printing an image taken by the camera in a color print immediately after taking the image by the camera.
Abstract:
A recording medium package for use on a heat transfer printer. The recording medium package comprises: a plurality of recording sheets, an ink ribbon having a sufficient length to print all the plurality of recording sheets and formed by coating one side of a base strip with a fusible or hot-sublimable ink or with a plurality of fusible or hot-sublimable inks of different colors in color sections arranged lengthwise in a fixed sequence; a feed spool wound with the ink ribbon; a take-up spool for winding the used portion of the ink ribbon and a cassette containing the plurality of recording sheets in a pile, rotatably supporting the feed spool and the take-up spool so that the ink ribbon is extended in front of and along the surface of the top recording sheet among the plurality of recording sheets, having an opening for exposing the top recording sheet through the ink ribbon to the thermal print head of the heat transfer printer, an ejecting opening for ejecting the recording sheets one by one therethrough, and a recess for exposing a portion of the top recording sheet to ejecting means of the heat transfer printer. The cassette comprises a recording sheet case for containing the plurality of recording sheets, and an ink ribbon case for rotatably supporting the feed spool and the take-up spool and pivotally joined at one end thereof to the recording sheet case so that the recording sheet case and the ink ribbon case can be turned relative to each other.
Abstract:
An inkribbon feed mechanism is disclosed which feeds the inkribbon by utilizing power of a spacing motor by which a print head is transversed. The inkribbon feed mechanism comprises commanding means which detect a command element for reversing the inkribbon near one end of the inkribbon, an arm member which interlocks with the command means via a spring member and is pivotably supported by a pivot, a planetary gear member which is provided at one end of the arm member and is rotated by the power of the spacing motor via a drive gear member. In compliance with the alternate rotation of the spacing motor, the planetary gear member engages with a gear member of one reel or is slightly moved in orbit by the drive gear member so as not to render a rotational force to the reel. The arm member is pivoted by the command means to change the object which the planetary gear engages.
Abstract:
The present invention comprises an optical write/read device including a light emitting/receiving portion having light emitting elements and light receiving elements which are arranged in parallel with one another, and a simple optical system. In the optical system, light emitted from the light emitting element is lead to an information recording medium, and light reflected on the information recording medium among lights emitted from the light emitting elements is lead to the light receiving element. Accordingly, the light emitting element can be used as a recording light source and a reading light source, and further the light receiving elements arranged in parallel with the light emitting elements can be used as an optical detector. The information recording medium employed by the optical write/read device includes a column of positional aligning marks.
Abstract:
A resistance film which generates heat when a power is supplied is wound around a roller so that a roller may be rotated. An impression roller, which comes in contact under pressure with the resistance film, is provided and rotated synchronized with the resistance film an opposite direction. A printing form is transferred between and by the resistance film and the depression roller. In this case, toner delivered onto the printing form is fixed by supplying the power to the resistance film. The resistance film can be of an endless type or a web type.
