摘要: A ceramic precombustion chamber construction for an internal combustion engine including a precombustion chamber formed by a ceramic body to be inserted in a precombustion chamber receiving cavity of a metal cylinder head. Projections are formed on an outer circumferential surface of a metal sleeve fitted on the ceramic body, or on an inner circumferential surface of the precombustion chamber receiving cavity of a metal cylinder head, or on an outer circumferential surface of the ceramic body. Thermal insulating spaces are formed by the projections and the inner circumferential surface of the precombustion chamber receiving cavity or the outer circumferential surface of the metal sleeve or the outer circumferential surface of the ceramic body. One of the projections is formed with a glow-plug receiving aperture which communicates with a glow-plug receiving aperture formed in the precombustion chamber receiving cavity of the metal cylinder head. As a result, leakage of burnt gases is prevented to ensure a complete thermal insulating effect.

摘要: A precombustion chamber construction for an internal combustion engine comprises a precombustion chamber constructed by a ceramic body having a glow-plug receiving aperture to be inserted in a precombustion chamber receiving cavity of a metal cylinder head. A metal sleeve may be fitted on the ceramic body. A seat is formed at an entrance of a glow-plug receiving aperture on an outer circumferential surface of the metal sleeve, thereby preventing any leakage of burnt gases to ensure the complete thermal insulating effect. The metal sleeve is not necessarily needed. In this case, the seat is formed at an entrance of the glow-plug receiving aperture on an outer circumferential surface of the ceramic body.

摘要: A cylinder head has a ceramic precombustion chamber for an internal combustion engine. The cylinder head includes a part of the cylinder head made of a ceramic body having an injection aperture communicating with a main combustion chamber for jetting burning gases therethrough, a metal sleeve fitted on an outer circumference of the ceramic body and fitted in a precombustion chamber insert bore forming part of the cylinder head, and a head gasket interposed between the cylinder block forming the main combustion chamber and the ceramic body, the metal sleeve and the cylinder head. A surface of the ceramic body facing to the head gasket extends onto a side of the main combustion chamber beyond a surface of the ceramic body opening the injection aperture into the main combustion chamber.

摘要: A ceramic precombustion chamber construction of an internal combustion engine includes at least one ceramic body having a circular cross-section, a metal ring in which the ceramic body is fixed by shrinkage fitting, and at least one key interposed between the ceramic body and the metal ring for preventing rotation therebetween. Contour lines of a key receiving notch formed in an inner circumference of the metal ring are positioned on inner sides of contour lines of a key receiving notch formed in an outer circumference of the ceramic body. With the arrangement, the ceramic body is prevented from loosening from the fitting with the metal ring due to heat and vibration in use and is prevented from being damaged resulting from cracks occurring in the ceramic body.

摘要: A ballpoint pen refill has an ink-accommodating tube (1) containing an ink (6) having a thixotropic property and a greaselike ink follower (7) capable of moving together with the ink (6) as the ink (6) is consumed so as to be contiguous with the rear end of the ink (6) to prevent the reverse flow of the ink (6). The ink-accommodating tube (1) has a small diameter portion (3) formed at a front side and a large diameter portion (2) having a diameter greater than the diameter of the small diameter portion (3) and extending rearward from the small diameter portion (3). A ballpoint pen tip (5) rotatably holding a ball (4) is inserted in the small diameter portion (3) of the ink-accommodating tube (1). A regulating member (15) has a column (15a) which is press-fitted in the small diameter portion (3). The column (15a) of the regulating member (15) has an inclined end surface (14) at its front end inclined at a predetermined angle to a plane perpendicular to the axis (O) of the ink-accommodating tube (1). The regulating member (15) is provided in its side surface (17) of the column (15a) with a fluid passage (18) extending rearward from the rear end of the inclined end surface (14) to enable the ink and air to flow therethrough in the ink-accommodating tube (1).

摘要: A correction pen has a joining mechanism for joining together a front end portion (11) of a barrel (1), and a coupling portion (22) of a head member (2). The joining mechanism is constructed so that an inner cylindrical portion (22b) is pressed in a first coupling section (11a), an annular bead (2a) formed on an outer cylindrical portion (22a) squeezes a second coupling section (11b), and a bead (2c) formed on a step (22c) is pressed against the front end surface (1a) of the first coupling section when an annular ridge (1b) formed on the second coupling section (11b) is fitted in an annular groove (2b) formed in the outer cylindrical portion (22a). A ball holding tube (7) is provided with a ball housing bore (7b) and a connecting bore (7d) formed so that a low step is formed between the ball housing bore and the connecting bore. The edge of the tip of the ball holding tube is rounded. A head member is provided with a spring support portion (2f) for supporting a coil spring (8), provided with slots (2g). A cap releasing member (9) for releasing a cap (5) put on a head portion(222) of a barrel assembly (E) has operating portions disposed on the side surface of the cap so as to be in contact with an inclined portion (2h) of the head member.
