摘要: To prevent deformation of lock portions and make a block connector smaller a dovetail-shaped lock groove 21 is formed at a front end of the upper surface of the lower housing 2 over the entire width, and a dovetail-shaped lock rib 22 which can be pressed into the lock groove 21 is formed on the lower surface of the upper housing 1. The lock rib 22 is divided into three divided ribs with clearances therebetween, and the projecting heights of the divided ribs differ. The lock groove 21 is formed to have a stepped shape. Recesses 32 which form jig insertion holes are so formed as to conform to the clearances of the lock rib 22. A rear locking mechanism is such that lock projections 30 are fitted into lock holes 29, and is relatively easily unlockable by rotating the front end of the upper housing 1. When the front ends of the upper and lower housings 1, 2 are disengaged by inserting a disengagement jig into the jig insertion hole, the lock rib 22 comes out of the lock groove while being guided by slanted side surfaces. If the front end of the upper housing 1 is subsequently rotated, the rear lock portion is also unlocked.

摘要: A terminal fitting has a resilient contact piece (18) coupled to an inner ceiling wall (15) via a resilient supporting piece (17). The resilient contact piece (18) is cantilevered back from the resilient supporting piece (17) and then is bent forward. A portion of the resilient contact piece (17) is resiliently deformable upward and downward with a folded portion (20) as a center. The resilient contact piece (18) is entirely displaceable along the longitudinal direction with the resilient supporting piece (17) as a center. An auxiliary spring portion (30) has a first and a second curves (32) that project up and down immediately before the folded portion (20) of the resilient contact piece (18). The auxiliary spring portion (30) can be elongated and contracted resiliently along the same direction.

摘要: A pressure contact connector has inner members which cannot be inserted upside-down, and which has good operability. An inner member includes an upper and lower inner member. A tubular shaped inner housing chamber is provided at the posterior of an outer member, this inner housing chamber being capable of housing the inner member. Position-fixing grooves are formed in a concave manner at the posterior end of the inner housing chamber. When the inner member and outer member are to be attached, position fixing protrusions fit with the position-fixing grooves only when the inner member is in the correct orientation.

A resilient contact (18) is formed in the rectangular tube (11) and can resiliently contact the male tab (90). An excessive deformation preventing portion (41) is formed in the rectangular tube (11) for preventing deformation of the resilient contact (18) beyond a resiliency limit by contacting the resilient contact (18) being resiliently deformed. The terminal fitting (10) also has an extending portion (33) projecting out from an end edge of the rectangular tube portion (11) in a developed state before being bent and arranged at an outer side of the resilient contact (18) after being bent. The excessive deformation preventing portion (41) is formed by bending a part of the extending portion (33) into the interior of the rectangular tube (11).

摘要: A connector housing (11) is provided to prevent a retainer (15) from inadvertently moving from a partial locking position to a full locking position. The retainer (15) can be held in a partial locking position where the retainer (15) is located at a shallow insertion position in a hollow portion (14a) and permits the insertion and withdrawal of terminal fittings (T). The retainer (15) also can be in a full locking position (P3) where the retainer (15) is deeper in the hollow portion (14a) to lock the terminal fittings (T) so as not to come out of cavities. There are first and second partial locking positions (P1 and P2) of the retainer (15) at different depths in an inserting direction. A holding force for partially locking the retainer (15) in the housing main body (12) is set larger in the first partial locking position (P1) than in the second partial locking position (P2) before the full locking position (P3).

摘要: A connector including an inner housing member for housing terminal fittings and an outer member for receiving the inner housing member. The inner housing member comprises upper and lower inner members. After terminal fittings have been attached to the upper and lower inner members, these inner members are joined to one another to form the inner housing member. An angular-tubular shaped housing chamber is provided at the posterior of an outer member for housing the inner housing member. The inner housing member is pushed into the housing chamber of the outer member to complete the assembly of the connector. The connector also includes a latch that prevents the inner and outer members from being easily released, and in which rattling or vibration of the upper and lower inner members is prevented.
