摘要： A camera apparatus equipped with an optical system, a photographing element for converting a light signal of an object to be photographed from the optical system to an electric signal, an A/D conversion unit for converting the electric signal from the photographing element to digital image data, a data compression unit for compressing the image data from the A/D conversion unit with a prescribed form based on a software program. Data conversion converts the compressed data from the data compression unit to a prescribed form of data that is recordable into a direct read after write type optical disk or a rewritable optical disk that records the compressed data. The camera enables a user to watch on a personal computer static images that have been photographed without making data transfer to the personal computer.

摘要： A data recording device and a camera device in which, while using a disc drive not employing tracking servo, destruction of recorded data is prevented against an impact applied during data recording. The data recording device or a camera device includes a recording unit 32 for recording data on the disc-shaped recording medium without employing tracking servo provided in the inside of a casing, an acceleration sensor 33 for detecting an impact applied to the casing and a control unit 28, 31, 36 for controlling the recording unit for discontinuing data recording on the disc-shaped recording medium if an impact exceeding a pre-set value is detected based on detection results from the acceleration sensor 33. By discontinuing data recording on the disc-shaped recording medium on detection by the acceleration sensor 33 of an impact exceeding a pre-set value, it becomes possible to prevent destruction of recorded data on the disc-shaped recording medium and failure in recording.

摘要： A tape cassette with tape reels mounted therewithin having an opening portion formed in one side of the tape cassette and a notched portion formed in the lower surface of the cassette in a position adjacent to the opening portion, wherein a tape wound round the tape reels is passed along the opening portion, characterized by the combination therewith of an improved construction comprising a front cover capable of being opened and closed which covers the front face of the tape passed along the opening portion and an inner cover capable of being opened and closed which covers the back of the tape in an opposed relation to the front cover, whereby the tape is enclosed while being held from before and behind between the front cover and the inner cover and consequently the adhesion of dust or the like to the tape and the damage of the tape can be prevented.

An FD drive device 20 includes a switch for detecting that an FD type card adapter 1 which conducts data processing to record data onto a memory card or reproduce data from the memory card has been inserted, and a luminous element 30 which conducts communication of predetermined control data to a light receiving element 8 of the FD type card adapter 1 in order to effect control related to data recording or reproducing operation. As a result, it is possible to restore the FD type card adapter from the power saving mode and shift the FD type card adapter to an arbitrary control state, without conducting the reset using ejection and re-insertion of a recording medium.
