    摘要: A silicone overcoat (SOC) layer having a crosslinked polysiloxane composition comprising a perfluoropolyether segment are disclosed. The polysiloxane composition is the product of the hydrolysis and condensation of a SOC formulation comprising a perfluoropolyether compound, an aromatic silicon-containing compound, and a silicon-containing hole transport compound. An electrophotographic imaging member having such a SOC layer has improved properties.

    摘要: Silicon-containing layers for electrophotographic photoreceptors which have high mechanical strength, improved electrophotographic characteristics and improved image deletion characteristics even under conditions of high temperature and high humidity are provided. Such silicon-containing layers include silicon-containing compounds, which may be crosslinked, and antioxidants that can be selected from hindered phenol antioxidants, hindered amine antioxidants, thioether antioxidants and phosphite antioxidants. Electrophotographic photoreceptors and electrophotographic imaging apparatus containing such silicon-containing layers are also provided.

    摘要: Provided are a silane-phenol compound, a crosslinked siloxane outmost protective layer thereof, and an electrophotographic imaging member such as photoreceptor. The silane-phenol compound comprises (i) a phenol group and (ii) a silane group selected from the group consisting of alkoxysilyl, arylalkoxysilyl, aryloxysilyl, alkylaryloxysilyl, and combination thereof. The crosslinked siloxane outmost protective layer comprises the product of hydrolysis and condensation of a silanized hole transport compound and the silane-phenol compound. The crosslinked protective outmost layer may be used to manufacture an electrophotographic imaging member such as photoreceptor with improved properties such as image quality and cleanability, etc.

    摘要: A process of treating metal oxide nanoparticles that includes mixing metal oxide nanoparticles, a solvent, and a surface treatment agent that is preferably a silane or siloxane is described. The treated metal oxide nanoparticles are rendered hydrophobic by the surface treatment agent being surface attached thereto, and are preferably dispersed in a hydrophobic aromatic polymer binder of a charge transport layer of a photoreceptor, whereby π-π interactions can be formed between the organic moieties on the surface of the nanoparticles and the aromatic components of the binder polymer to achieve a stable dispersion of the nanoparticles in the polymer that is substantially free of large sized agglomerations.
