    摘要: An alternator has a rotor having magnetic poles along a circumferential direction and a cooling fan fixed to an end surface of the rotor in an axial direction. The fan has wing portions disposed along the circumferential direction. One wing portion has a fan base extending on or over first and second magnetic poles, first and second fixing members, respectively, fixing first and second fixing portions of the base to the first and second poles, and a fan blade extending from the fan base toward the axial direction. The base or blade has a boundary portion at which a boundary line between the blade and base crosses over a side line of the second pole, and a first distance between the first fixing portion and the boundary portion is substantially equal to a second distance between the second fixing portion and the boundary portion.

    摘要: An alternator for use in an automobile includes a stator supported between a front housing and a rear housing, and a rotor connected to a rotor shaft and rotatably supported inside the stator. A cooling fan is positioned at an end of a pole core of the rotor. The cooling fan is coupled to the rotor shaft by engaging edges of a center opening of the cooling fan with a non-circular flange formed on the rotor shaft. The cooling fan is correctly positioned relative to the rotor shaft, without using a jig, both in the radial direction and in the rotational direction of cooling fan. Noises and vibrations due to rotational imbalance of the cooling fan are suppressed.

    摘要: The present invention prevents the degradation of the power generating efficiency of an alternating current generator by preventing the expansion of an air gap formed between pole cores and a stator core, achieves low-noise operation by preventing generation of high-frequency impact magnetic noise, and makes it possible to relieve strains applied on a magnet holder. The present invention utilizes sixteen magnets, each of which fits between two of sixteen claw-like magnetic poles formed on the outer periphery of Lundell-type pole cores, which rotates integrally with a shaft. The magnets are caught and stopped by a magnet holder which has been formed by interconnecting zig-zagging segments and has elasticity as a whole. Here, the permanent magnets are held by the magnet holder so that the magnet holder does not protrude towards the rotor side from the outer peripheral face of the Lundell-type pole cores and the contacting faces of the magnet holder contact the outer faces of the permanent magnets. The claw-like magnetic poles are disposed so as to face the stator.

    摘要: A magnet holding member is mounted onto a rotor of an alternator, and holds permanent magnets inserted between the claws of pole cores. The magnet holding member has twelve housing parts each of which has corrugated side surfaces which serve as shock absorbing structures to relieve stress when excessive stress is exerted thereon by the claws of the pole cores. The magnet holding member is manufactured in a state in which the housing parts are arranged in the shape of a belt and are connected with connecting parts. The magnet holding member is bent into an annular shape after the permanent magnets are pressed into the housing parts, and is then mounted onto the rotor. To facilitate ease of manufacture of the magnet holding member, the openings of each housing part face the same direction.

    摘要: A printer which is compact, can accurately supply paper and has reduced noise characteristics. Additionally, the printer enables easy correction of paper jams and can be selectively operated in various modes according to the user's preference. The printer includes a paper feed roller which is pivotable between a paper feed position and a non-feeding position, a drive force transmitting mechanism for transmitting a drive force to the paper feed roller, a carriage reciprocatively movable along the width of the paper fed by the paper feed roller, and an intermediate transmission mechanism attached to the side of the carriage. Only when the carriage is in a stand-by position, the intermediate transmission mechanism couples with the drive force transmitting mechanism to transmit to the paper feed roller a paper-feed directional rotating force so as to rotate the paper feed roller to the paper feed position. The intermediate transmission mechanism is preferably an idler rotatably mounted on the side of the carriage. The paper feed roller is preferably driven through a planetary gear mechanism including a sun gear provided on a drive shaft, a paper-feed roller holder rotatably mounted on the drive shaft, and a planetary gear coaxially provided with the paper feed roller supported with the paper-feed roller holder.
