摘要： A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal (LC) panel; front and rear frames sandwiching therebetween the LC panel; a latch structure engaging together the LC panel and one of the front and rear frames. The latch structure includes a convex portion formed on one of the LC panel and the one of the front and rear panels and a concave portion formed on the other of the LC panel and the one of the front and rear frames to receive therein the convex portion, whereby the latch structure allows and restricts movement of the LC panel with respect to the one of the front and rear frames in a first direction normal to the LC panel and in a second direction parallel to the LC panel, respectively.

摘要： A rotor for a vehicular alternating current generator has a relief space portion formed between axial holes of a pair of pole cores and a shaft for receiving therein a plastically deformed portion produced when the shaft is press-fitted in the axial holes of the pole cores. The relief space portion is located adjacent to a pair of closely contacting inner end faces of the pole cores so that the plastically deformed portion is let to move into a radially outward direction rather than further continuing movement in an axial direction within the relief space portion. The plastically deformed portion is thus prevented from entering between the inner end faces of the pole cores.

摘要： A terminal (101) includes interfaces for communication with a mobile network (102) and a wireless LAN (103). A first IMS server (107) performs IMS call control processing relating to terminals located in the mobile network (102) and a second IMS server (111) relays a signal relating to IMS call control processing concerning terminals located in the wireless LAN (103). These IMS servers search for a mobile network packet gateway (106), a packet data gateway (110), and a gateway to be controlled by a route change request for requesting change of a packet transmission path and relay the route change request. The route change request provided from the terminal (101) is relayed by the IMS servers to provide the change request to all networks specified. The packet transmission path is changed by the gateway in accordance with the request. Thus, the terminal having the interfaces for both of the mobile communication network and the wireless LAN can select a network to use for each communication port.

摘要： A liquid crystal monitor incorporating therein a liquid crystal module having a direct backlight is configured to have receiving portions in a reflector 8 of the direct backlight that constitutes a liquid crystal module 13, in order to attach together the liquid crystal module 13 and a liquid crystal monitor member 12. The receiving portions are constituted by reflector extensions 111 that are formed by extending a bottom face of the reflector 8 toward a space between an inclined face of the reflector and an upper frame 2 of the liquid crystal module 13. Then, the liquid crystal monitor member 12 is fixed to the reflector extensions 111 by screws 407. Thus, the use of a space near the inclined face of the reflector allows a liquid crystal monitor to be thinned and reduced in its size and the width of monitor frame.

摘要： An alternator has a rotor having magnetic poles along a circumferential direction and a cooling fan fixed to an end surface of the rotor in an axial direction. The fan has wing portions disposed along the circumferential direction. One wing portion has a fan base extending on or over first and second magnetic poles, first and second fixing members, respectively, fixing first and second fixing portions of the base to the first and second poles, and a fan blade extending from the fan base toward the axial direction. The base or blade has a boundary portion at which a boundary line between the blade and base crosses over a side line of the second pole, and a first distance between the first fixing portion and the boundary portion is substantially equal to a second distance between the second fixing portion and the boundary portion.

摘要： An alternator for use in an automobile includes a stator supported between a front housing and a rear housing, and a rotor connected to a rotor shaft and rotatably supported inside the stator. A cooling fan is positioned at an end of a pole core of the rotor. The cooling fan is coupled to the rotor shaft by engaging edges of a center opening of the cooling fan with a non-circular flange formed on the rotor shaft. The cooling fan is correctly positioned relative to the rotor shaft, without using a jig, both in the radial direction and in the rotational direction of cooling fan. Noises and vibrations due to rotational imbalance of the cooling fan are suppressed.

摘要： A sheet end detector comprising a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element for detecting changes in the amount of light associated with movement of a piece of a recording medium is provided. A standard value calculator detects the difference between the sheet end detector platen voltage Vp corresponding to light reflected only from said platen and said sheet end detector paper saturation voltage Vm corresponding to light reflected only from the recording medium. The amount necessary to feed the paper for platen voltage Vp to reach paper saturation voltage Vm is a constant value, irrespective of recording medium characteristics, which is when all of the light is reflected by the recording medium and the entire end portion of a piece of a recording medium has reached a predetermined position relative to the position of the sheet end detector. A standard value is calculated by multiplying this difference by a constant coefficient C and then adding back the lesser of Vp or Vm, C being a numerical value greater than 0 and less than 1 and being an indication of the desired position of the leading edge of the recording medium. A comparator compares the standard value and a signal from the sheet end detector and determines when the signal corresponds to the standard value, which is indicative that the presence of a leading edge or trailing edge of the recording medium has reached a predetermined position.
