    Abstract: A holder (150) for an inhaler article (110) includes a housing (151) defining an inhaler article cavity (154). A piercing element (160) is fixed to and extends into the inhaler article cavity. A sleeve (180) is disposed within the inhaler article cavity and is configured to retain an inhaler article. The sleeve is movable along the housing longitudinal axis. A spring element (200) is configured to bias the sleeve toward the open proximal end (156) of the housing.

    Abstract: An aerosol-generating article is provided, including: a fluid guide to allow movement of fluid, the guide having proximal and distal ends and inner and outer longitudinal regions separated by a barrier, the inner longitudinal region including an inner longitudinal passageway between the distal and proximal ends, and the outer longitudinal region including an outer longitudinal passageway that communicates external fluid through an aperture to the distal end so external fluid can travel along the outer passageway to the distal end of the fluid guide; a tubular element including a gel including an active agent, the tubular element having proximal and distal ends and being disposed at the distal end of the fluid guide; and a cavity between the distal end of the fluid guide and the proximal end of the tubular element.     Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a susceptor for an inductively heatable aerosol-generating article, wherein the method comprises the steps of providing a band of susceptor material and providing a compression stage. The compression stage comprises oppositely arranged compression elements, wherein in a first portion of the compression stage, the compression elements are arranged to define a progressively narrowing compression gap and wherein in a second portion of the compression stage the compression elements are arranged to define a constant compression gap there between and wherein the oppositely arranged compression elements are configured to have matching surface structures. The band of susceptor material is guided through the narrowing compression gap of the compression stage, such that the matching surface structures of the compression elements deep draw the band of susceptor material. The invention also relates to a susceptor element having successively arranged plain and expanded portions and to a method of manufacturing thereof.

    Abstract: There is provided an inhaler article (10) having an upstream end (1) and a downstream end (2). The inhaler article comprises an upstream section (3) which comprises an end plug (5). The inhaler article comprises a downstream section (4) located downstream of the upstream section and spaced apart from the upstream section. The downstream section comprises a filter segment (6).     Abstract: A holder for an inhaler article that includes a sleeve positioned within a housing cavity, a piercing element, and a lockout mechanism. The sleeve comprises a sleeve cavity arranged to receive the inhaler article. The sleeve is movable within the housing cavity between a first and second position. The piercing element is arranged to pierce the inhaler article received within the sleeve when the sleeve is moved from the first position to the second position. The lockout mechanism comprises a guide, a follower member coupled to the sleeve, and a retaining section. The follower member is arranged to move along the guide into the retaining section as the sleeve moves from the second position and back to the first position. The retaining section is arranged to hold the follower member when the sleeve has returned back to the first position, thus retaining the sleeve in the first position.
