A handwriting system includes a light source module, an image sensing apparatus and a processing circuit. The light source module is configured to provide a light source to illuminate an object on a plane. The image sensing apparatus is disposed on the plane and configured to capture an image of the object reflecting light emitted by the light source. The processing circuit is electrically connected to the image sensing apparatus and configured to receive the image captured by the image sensing apparatus, analyze the shape of each of light spot(s) in the captured image and screen out the light spot(s) not conforming to the shape of the object. Another handwriting system and two handwriting system operation methods are also provided.

An optical touch control method includes steps of: providing a bright background from at least one edge of a touch surface in a first period; providing illumination light to the touch surface in a second period; capturing a first image of an indicator object blocking a portion of the bright background in the first period; and capturing a second image of the indicator object reflecting the illumination light in the second period. An optical touch system is also provided.

Abstract:
A method of an optical detecting device for synchronizing an exposure timing sequence of an image detector with a light emitting timing sequence of a reference light source is disclosed. The method includes capturing a continued image set according to a predetermined period, analyzing intensity variation of the continued image set, and adjusting the exposure timing sequence of an image detector according to the intensity variation, so as to synchronize the exposure timing sequence of the image detector with the light emitting timing sequence of the reference light source.

An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure provides a handheld pointer device and a tilt angle adjustment method thereof. The tilt angle adjustment method includes the following steps. Images corresponding to the position of a reference point are captured as the handheld pointer device pointing toward the reference point to generate a plurality of frames. Whether the reference point has substantially moved is subsequently determined based on the plurality of frames. When determines that the reference point has not substantially moved, causes an accelerometer unit of the handheld pointer device to detect the accelerations thereof over various axes so as to update a first tilt angle being used currently to a second tilt angle, accordingly. The handheld pointer device may thus accurately and efficiently calculate the relative position of the reference point with the appropriate tilt angle of the handheld pointer device used.

There is provided an interactive system, which includes a remote controller. The remote controller is equipped with a camera to capture an operating frame having a user image and a background image therein; and a processing unit to analyze the operating frame to identify a user image section and a background image section within the operating frame corresponding to the user image and the background image respectively, wherein the processing unit generates a movement information of the remote controller according to intensity distributions of the user image section and the background image section.

A pointer positioning method for a handheld pointer device includes: capturing a first frame containing a reference point when the handheld pointer device updates a first tilt angle presently used to a second tilt angle; computing a first pointing coordinate according to the image position of the reference point in the first frame and the first tilt angle; computing a second pointing coordinate according to the image position of the reference point in the first frame and the second tilt angle; capturing a second frame containing the reference point to compute a third pointing coordinate according to the image position of the reference point in the second frame and the second tilt angle; generating a cursor parameter for controlling a display position of a cursor on a display apparatus according to the first pointing coordinate, the second pointing coordinate, and the third pointing coordinate.

An optical tracking device includes a light source, an image sensor and a processing unit. The light source emits light at a lighting frequency. The image sensor outputs an operating image when the light source is being turned on and outputs a background image when the light source is being turned off. The processing unit is configured to obtain background information from the background image, calculate a differential image of the operating image and the background image, obtain object information from the differential image and compare the background information and the object information thereby removing background noise.
