Abstract:
A steerable single or multi-compartment, sled-shaped, inflatable kite having a pair or series of substantially longitudinal gas chambers as beams, which kite, when inflated, is generally in the form of a tapered rectangle with a triangular keel attached to each outside gas chambers (and optionally attached to each of any inside gas chambers), there being a non-inflatable area between the longitudinal gas chambers that provides sail area and/or additional sail area.
Abstract:
A method of replacing standard cells with high speed cells in the design of a circuit using a computer program, said application specific integrated circuit design comprising a plurality of high speed cells and a plurality of standard cells, said high speed cells and standard cells being arranged to form a plurality of paths on said application specific integrated circuit, said method comprising the steps of: timing said plurality of paths identifying cells occurring on paths for which timing targets are not met; upgrading at least one of said identified cells to a high speed cell.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an inhalation apparatus for dispensing an inhalable substance and, in particular, but not exclusively, to an apparatus for use in the delivery of therapeutic substances to the human lung. There is provided and apparatus for dispensing an aerosol of electrostatically charged droplets including a housing having an open end duct in which are located a first electrode having an upper surface lying in a generally longitudinal plane of the duct and a second electrode spaced from the first electrode. The apparatus further includes means for delivering a metered quantity of liquid to the upper surface of the first electrode for atomization, and charging means for applying a higher potential to the second electrode with respect to the first electrode to effect atomization.
Abstract:
When a user interface cursor hovers over a user interface item, a determination is made as to whether the user interface item has an associated screentip. If the user interface item has an associated screentip, text associated with the screentip is identified, a translated text string is located for the text string, and the translated text string is displayed in the screentip. If the user interface item does not have an associated screentip, a determination is made as to whether the user interface item contains a text string. If so, a determination is made as to whether a translated text string is available that corresponds to the text in the user interface item. If so, the translated text string is displayed in a screentip for the user interface item.
Abstract:
Porous ceramic superconductors having a film thickness over 0.5 microns are provided. The superconducting material is applied to a vicinal substrate and optionally nanoparticles are inserted to release local strain. The resultant superconductors exhibit improved Jc values compared to nonvicinal (flat) counterparts and those having no nanoparticles.
Abstract:
A customer reward system includes at least one activity monitoring device for monitoring trading activity. A processor is associated with the, or each, activity monitoring device for receiving data from said activity monitoring device, for comparing the data with a predetermined trigger condition, the trigger condition being selected from a particular set of conditions, and, when the data and the predetermined trigger condition coincide, generating an output signal indicative of a customer reward.
Abstract:
The invention relates to improvements to drugs delivery devices, in particular, those for dispensing a metered dose of medicament. There is provided apparatus (10, 110) for dispensing a medicament wherein at least a portion of one or more of the surfaces of components of the apparatus which come into contact with the medicament during storage or dispensing has a layer of a poly-para-xylylene polymer also known as parylene bonded to at least a portion thereof.

Abstract:
A method of operating a computer to generate a timing constraints file for controlling a clock tree synthesis tool, the method comprising: inputting into the computer data defining a circuit to be synthesised, the circuit including a plurality of timing paths each including at least one of a first timing portion, a second timing portion and a third timing portion; executing a tool in the computer to read the data and to analyse the delay on each the first and third portion of each the timing path, to compare the delays and to set a clock latency for at least one of start and end points of the second portion of at least one timing path in dependence on the comparison; and outputting a timing constraints file including commands for controlling the clock tree synthesis tool, the commands defining the clock latencies.
