摘要： Gallium nitride material transistors and methods associated with the same are provided. The transistors may be used in power applications by amplifying an input signal to produce an output signal having increased power. The transistors may be designed to transmit the majority of the output signal within a specific transmission channel (defined in terms of frequency), while minimizing transmission in adjacent channels. This ability gives the transistors excellent linearity which results in high signal quality and limits errors in transmitted data. The transistors may be designed to achieve low ACPR values (a measure of excellent linearity), while still operating at high drain efficiencies and/or high output powers. Such properties enable the transistors to be used in RF power applications including third generation (3G) power applications based on W-CDMA modulation.

摘要： The scintillating screen of digital imaging systems used in conventional transmission electron microscopy is discretized and the scintillating material is contained in a cellular structure having a geometry judiciously selected for coupling to the optical channels of the imaging system. This allows optical matching, without smearing, between the elements of the scintillating screen and the discrete light-collecting and light-registering optical channels of the system. Cross-talk among optical channels is consequently minimized and the resulting light-imaging resolution of the digital imaging system is optimized.

摘要： A switch-type power converter comprising an FET switch operating in a variable duty cycle mode under the control of a Unitrode 3846 integrated circuit controller. Indications of excess input voltage and reverse battery connections are provided by circuits including an element which permanently changes state. A cooling fan mounted on a finned heat sink is operated in a variable speed mode. A single thermistor sensor provides inputs to both the fan speed control and a thermal shutdown circuit connected to shut down the gate drives to the FET switch in the event of a high temperature condition. Another shutdown function is provided in response to an input overvoltage condition by way of an operational amplifier. The converter uses foldback for short circuit protection and is compatible with microprocessor units to selectively provide multiple output voltage levels.

摘要： A combination tool for installing and crimping a cleat for fastening sections of ductwork, and for adjusting the threaded on support rods of strut channel for leveling the ductwork. The tool has an installing plate for holding a cleat and a removable handle that threads to the back of the installing plate. The handle has a hollow tubular body with a nut driver formed in the other end, for engaging and driving a threaded nut. The nut driver end is made by milling a rectangular slot transverse the axis of the hollow tubular body to form a pair of nut-engaging. A shank can be provided for attachment to the chuck of a power drill for rapid driving of the nuts. The tool also has a hinged crimping plate with threaded set screws for crimping the cleat securely to the flanges of the ductwork.

摘要： A security sensor system comprises one or more laser detection and ranging (LADAR) sensors configured for accumulation of three-dimensional image data. In one embodiment, the one or more LADAR sensors each comprise a LADAR device, such as a MEMS device, configured to transmit a plurality of laser pulses, and a microprocessor operatively coupled to the LADAR device. One or more data storage devices is operatively coupled to the microprocessor and configured to store the three-dimensional image data, as well as predetermined protected area boundary and fixed object definitions. A GPS receiver can be operatively coupled to the microprocessor and a GPS antenna. The microprocessor is configured to perform a LADAR image analysis that compares the three-dimensional image data with the protected area boundary and fixed object definitions to identify one or more potential intruders.

A cover wafer may also be provided, with a glass wall situated between the cover wafer and the SAW wafer. The cover wafer may be secured to the SAW wafer such that the glass wall surrounds the SAW transducers. In some instances, the glass wall may define, at least in part, a separation between the cover wafer and the SAW wafer. One or more contours may also be provided between the cover wafer and the SAW wafer such that at least one of the contours surrounds at least one of the SAW transducers when the cover wafer is disposed over and secured relative to the SAW wafer.
