Abstract: A three dimensional image generation method can include capturing a plurality of images of an object, generating a plurality of point clouds corresponding to a first sequence and a plurality pieces of first pose information according to the plurality of images, generating a second sequence according to a plurality of correlations among the plurality of images, performing a plurality of registration operations on the plurality of point clouds in the second sequence to adjust the plurality pieces of first pose information to generate a plurality pieces of second pose information, and combining the plurality of point clouds according to the plurality pieces of second pose information to generate a three dimensional image of the object.

Abstract: A method for generating a three-dimensional image includes capturing a set of color images of an object, generating a first point cloud according to at least the set of color images, generating a second point cloud by performing a filtering operation to the first point cloud according to the set of color images, selectively performing a pairing operation using the second point cloud and a target point cloud to generate pose information, and combining the first point cloud and the target point cloud according to the pose information to update the target point cloud to generate the three-dimensional image of the object. The set of color images is related to color information of the object. The relativity of the second point cloud and the rigid surface is higher than the relativity of the second point cloud and the non-rigid surface.

A method of operating the intraoral scanner includes the image capturing device sequentially capturing M images of a buccal bite, the processor generating M sets of buccal bite point clouds according to the M images, the processor matching the M sets of buccal bite point clouds to generate a bite model, when the number of data points of the bite model exceeds a first threshold, the processor computing P sets of bite feature descriptors of the bite model, when a predetermined quantity of bite feature descriptors in a set of bite feature descriptors of the P sets of bite feature descriptors exceeds a second threshold, the processor performing a registration on an upper arch model and a lower arch model to the buccal bite mode to generate a full mouth model.

Abstract: An intraoral scanner includes an image sensor, a projection module, a motion sensor, a memory unit and a processor. The motion sensor senses three motion variations corresponding to three axes according to a motion state of the intraoral scanner. The memory unit stores three first variation thresholds corresponding to the three axes. The processor determines whether the three motion variations are smaller than or equal to the three first variation thresholds, respectively. When the processor determines that at least one of the three motion variations is smaller than or equal to the three first variation thresholds, the processor enables the image sensor and the projection module. When the processor determines that all of the three motion variations are larger than the three first variation thresholds, the processor disables at least one of the image sensor and the projection module.
