Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives, by a user equipment (UE) during a first subframe, an indication of a dynamic uplink/downlink (UL/DL) subframe configuration. The apparatus determines an uplink hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) timing based on an uplink reference subframe configuration and at least one of the dynamic UL/DL subframe configuration or a downlink reference subframe configuration. The apparatus selects an uplink subframe for communication based on the determined uplink HARQ timing.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for cross-carrier indication of TDD (Time Division Duplex) UL (Uplink)/DL (Downlink) subframe configuration. A UE may receive a configuration of a first index for a first cell, wherein the first index is mapped to a first position in a Downlink Control Information (DCI) message. The UE may receive the DCI message in a subframe and determine an indication of a UL/DL subframe configuration for the first cell based on the first index and the DCI message. The UE may communicate with the first cell based on the determined UL/DL subframe configuration for the first cell.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques and methods for reporting channel state information (CSI) feedback, for example, for UEs capable of supporting evolved interference management traffic adaptation (eIMTA). An exemplary method generally includes receiving signaling of a first uplink/downlink (UL/DL) subframe configuration for communicating with a base station (BS), receiving signaling of at least one channel state information (CSI) reporting configuration indicating at least two subframe sets, where each subframe set is associated with an interference measurement resource (IMR) configuration, detecting a collision of CSI reporting for the at least two subframe sets in an uplink subframe, prioritizing one subframe set from the at least two subframe sets for CSI reporting in the uplink subframe, and reporting CSI in the uplink subframe based on the prioritization.
Abstract:
A method for improved random access procedures by a UE is provided. The method comprises: measuring a common CSI-RS; selecting a best horizontal/vertical beam from a set of fixed beams; determining a preamble mapped to the selected horizontal/vertical beam; transmitting the preamble; and receiving a random access response.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques that may help enable the determination of uplink resource allocation in systems that support dynamic uplink-downlink subframe configurations. An example method generally includes receiving signaling indicating a dynamic uplink-downlink (UL-DL) subframe configuration, determining hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgment/negative acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) timing based on a reference UL-DL subframe configuration, and determining HARQ resource allocation based on the dynamic UL-DL subframe configuration.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing periodic CSI reports and/or aperiodic CSI reports to provide CSI for both anchor and non-anchor TDD subframes in eIMTA. Periodic CSI reports may be provided based on a reference configuration, and aperiodic CSI reports may be provided based on a time of reception of a CSI request and a reference configuration. A UE may determine to report anchor or non-anchor CSI through explicit or implicit signaling. Aperiodic CSI may be used for transmission of anchor subframe CSI reports and periodic CSI may be used for transmission of non-anchor subframe CSI reports, or aperiodic CSI may be used for transmission of non-anchor subframe CSI reports and periodic CSI may be used for transmission of anchor subframe CSI reports. A determination of the reference subframe for aperiodic CSI estimation may be based on a time of receipt of an aperiodic CSI request.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for reconfiguring a user equipment (UE) to operate in a reconfigured TDD UL-DL configuration. An initial uplink-downlink (UL-DL) configuration for TDD communication may be provided for communication between an e Node B and a UE. One or more subframes within each frame transmitted using the initial UL-DL configuration may be identified as flexible subframes. The identification of flexible subframes may permit the identification of timing for HARQ transmissions that does not change when a reconfiguration takes place. A different UL-DL configuration may be transmitted to the UE, in which at least one flexible subframe is to be changed from an uplink subframe to a downlink subframe. The different UL-DL configuration may be transmitted by, for example, a pseudo-uplink grant to the UE, which indicates that the UE is to reconfigure one or more flexible subframes from uplink to downlink transmission.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus determines an interference type between a time division duplex (TDD) configuration subframe of a serving cell and a corresponding TDD configuration subframe of a neighboring cell, and sets a transmit power for an apparatus in the serving cell based on the interference type. The apparatus in the serving cell may be a user equipment (UE), in which case the apparatus applies a set of uplink (UL) open loop power control parameters for the UE. The apparatus in the serving cell may be a base station (eNB), in which case a DL transmit power is set for the eNB. Depending on the interference type, the DL transmit power may be a fixed, full power DL transmission or an adjusted DL transmission.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and-devices are described for interference mitigation in a time-division duplex(TDD)wireless communication system. First and second subframe types may be identified for TDD subframes to be transmitted using the system. Different power control parameters associated with each subframe type may be identified based on transmission directions in neighboring cells for the particular subframes. One or more TDD subframes to be transmitted may be identified as a first or second subframe type, and power control may be applied to the transmitted subframes according the power control parameter associated with the subframe type. The identification of subframes and power control parameters to be applied to each type of subframe may be transmitted, for example, to a user equipment(UE). The information may be transmitted to a UE, for example, via radio resource control(RRC)signaling or via a physical layer control channel.
