Abstract: Methods and systems for capturing notes on a mobile device include displaying a lock screen on the electronic display of the mobile device and operating the mobile device in an active interaction state provides write-only to a secure file on the mobile device and that that provides write-only access to the secure file on the mobile device. The mobile device may render user inputs on top of the lock screen in a user input area on the mobile device display for a period of time, use the write-only access to store the user inputs in the secure file, and cease rendering the user inputs in response to detecting expiration of the period of time or in response to detecting user inactivity.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining whether a vehicle is driving in an unsafe or unsatisfactory manner are disclosed. In some implementations, a system may determine one or more driving scores for a vehicle based on observations of a driving behavior of the vehicle during a time period. The system may generate an indication of unsatisfactory driving based on at least one of the one or more driving scores exceeding a threshold value. The system may provide the indication of unsatisfactory driving to one or more entities. In some aspects, the system may identify one or more dangerous driving attributes exhibited by the vehicle during the time period based on the observations received from the one or more devices. The system may also generate the indication of unsatisfactory driving based at least in part on the identified dangerous driving attributes.

Abstract: Various embodiments enable recovery with a robotic vehicle of an item placed by a user on a delivery pad. The presence of the item on the delivery pad may be sensed and various descriptive recovery parameters may be included in a recovery request. Recovery parameters may be derived from measurements acquired at the delivery pad, information stored in the user account, and information input by a user using an application executing on a user device. The application may be associated with the user account. The recovery request may be sent to a remote server which in turn dispatches a robotic vehicle to the delivery pad site to recover the item and routes the robotic vehicle with the recovered item to a location based on information in the user account. A robotic vehicle selection may be based on the item's weight or one or more of its physical dimensions.

Abstract: Various embodiments include methods, devices, and robotic vehicles that adjust a proximity threshold implemented in a collision avoidance system based on whether a payload is being carried. Methods may include determining whether a payload is carried by the robotic vehicle, setting a proximity threshold for collision avoidance in response to determining that a payload is carried by the robotic vehicle, and controlling one or more motors of the robotic vehicle using the proximity threshold for collision avoidance. Some embodiments may include raising the proximity threshold when a payload is not being carried or decreasing proximity threshold when a payload is being carried. Some embodiments may include determining a classification of a payload and setting the proximity threshold based at least in part on the classification.

Various embodiments may include causing the imaging device to capture at least one image, determining whether a defect to the imaging device is detected based at least in part on the at least one captured image, and, in response to determining that a defect to the imaging device is detected, identifying an area of the image sensor corresponding to the defect and masking image data received from the identified area of the image sensor.
