    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to rate-matching a stream of bits encoded using polar codes. An exemplary method generally includes determining a mother code size (N) for transmitting an encoded stream of bits based, at least in part, on a minimum supported code rate for transmitting the encoded stream of bits (Rmin), a control information size of the encoded stream of bits (K), a number of coded bits for transmission (E), and a maximum mother code size (Nmax), encoding a stream of bits using a polar code of size (N, K) and storing the encoded stream of bits in a circular buffer, and performing rate-matching on the stored encoded stream of bits based, at least in part, on a comparison among the mother code size (N), the control information size of the encoded stream of bits (K), and the number of coded bits for transmission (E).

    Abstract: A method at a scheduling entity might include determining that interference is present from a neighboring scheduling entity, which implements a second subcarrier spacing that is different from a first subcarrier spacing of the scheduling entity. The scheduling entity might request the neighboring scheduling entity to negotiate a bandwidth group (BWG), where the BWG is a bandwidth occupied by downlink subcarriers within which a transmission parameter is maintained. The method might include negotiating a bandwidth of the bandwidth group and transmitting, if negotiating is successful, downlink data to a scheduled entity served by the scheduling entity according to the negotiated bandwidth. The transmission parameter might be a precoder, rank, modulation order, power inside each BWG, or numerology. The numerology might be scalable and might be a combination of subcarrier spacing and cyclic prefix (CP) overhead. The subcarrier spacing might be scaled while keeping constant the CP overhead as a percentage of a symbol duration.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques and apparatus for increasing decoding performance and/or reducing decoding complexity. An exemplary method generally includes obtaining a payload to be transmitted, partitioning the payload into a plurality of payload sections, deriving redundancy check information for each respective payload section of the plurality of payload sections, merging the redundancy check information for each payload section with the plurality of payload sections to form a sequence of bits, and generating a codeword by encoding the sequence of bits using an encoder.     Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for slot aggregation in new radio (NR) systems. A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving radio resource control (RRC) signaling providing a semi-static configuration for transmission and/or reception of a repeated transport block (TB) and/or a different TB in each of a plurality of aggregated slots. The UE transmits or receives the TBs in the plurality of aggregated slots based on the semi-static configuration. Another method is provided in which the UE transmits and/or receives a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) in each of a plurality of aggregated slots, each DMRS associated with a repeated TB or a different TB in the slot. The UE determines, based on received signaling, whether the DMRS use a same precoder or a different precoder and modulates and/or demodulates the TBs in the plurality of aggregated slots based on the determination.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining rate matching behavior for a plurality of control resource sets (CORESETs) is provided. A base station (BS) bundles a plurality of CORESETs into a global resource set. The BS configures the global resource set for a User Equipment (UE). The BS determines resources assigned to a downlink data channel overlap at least a portion of the global resource set and determines whether data on the downlink data channel is to be rate matched around the global resource set or is to use resources in the global resource set. The BS transmits the data on the downlink data channel based on the determination of the rate matching.
