    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may set a target delay value for a dejitter buffer of the UE based at least in part on jitter delays of silence descriptor (SID) packets that are received by the UE. The UE may receive, after the SID packets, media packets into the dejitter buffer. The UE may release the media packets from the dejitter buffer based at least in part on the target delay value. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for wireless device signaling a network regarding customized ringing signal (CRS) capability and use of such information by the network. Various embodiments may receiving from the network an INVITE message notifying the wireless device of an incoming call, determining whether the INVITE message indicates that the network provides CRS service if the wireless device supports a CRS function, and including an indication in a response to the INVITE that the wireless device supports the CRS function in response to determining that the INVITE message includes an alert information header field indicating that the network provides CRS service. Various embodiments include a network computing device receiving such information and performing negotiations for CRS service with the wireless device only if the wireless device indicates CRS functional capability.

    Abstract: Various embodiments include methods and user equipment (UE) for mobile-terminated call handling when a latency-sensitive service (LSS) is active on the UE. Embodiments may include determining a radio access technology (RAT) used for a latency-sensitive service (LSS) currently active on the UE in response to receiving an MT call invitation and determining whether a latency-prone service command is received that includes service commands configured to change the determined RAT used for the LSS to another RAT likely to compromise the LSS. In response to determining that a latency-prone service command is received the MT call invitation may be rejected, but in response to determining that a latency-prone service command is not received, MT call alerting may be allowed.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) expedites cell reselection by reselecting a neighbor cell prior to call setup. In one instance, the UE measures a signal quality of a serving cell and a signal quality of the neighbor cell. The UE starts a reselection timer for reselecting the neighbor cell based on the measured signal quality of the serving cell and the measured signal quality of the neighbor cell. The UE reselects the neighbor cell prior to a scheduled expiration of the reselection timer.
