摘要: Systems and methods are described herein for adjusting the priority of media assets scheduled to be recorded to reflect the current behavior and interests of the user. For example, a household with young children may have scheduled recordings for the DVR with a wide variety of television shows of different genres (e.g., Children's Shows, Sports Games, and Crime Procedurals) and as the children grow up, the preference may gradually shift towards other types of shows. As this shift of interest happens over time, it can be difficult or impossible for the user to change the priority of each of the media assets of the scheduled recordings each time the interests of the user changes an incremental amount.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for obscuring a presence of a media object in a video after a user fulfills an interaction requirement with a related media object. The system detects, an interaction with a media object and determines characteristics of the interaction. The system correlates characteristic of the interaction with an exclusion window and stores a record that links the exclusion window, user, and attribute of the media object. The system detects that a second media object will be displayed during playback of a video and determines an attribute of the second media object. The system retrieves the record by matching the attribute of the first media object from the record to the attribute of the second media object. In response to determining the exclusion window applies to the second media object, the system obscures the second media object while playing back the video.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided herein for playing back indexed conversations based on the presence of other people. When a user asks a query, the system monitors the area, determines the other users in the area, and searches its database for a conversation that addresses the query in consideration of the other users present in the area. The system filters the indexed conversations to find conversations that included all the users present and determines the best matching conversation based on the words of the query as well as the keywords from the conversation. Once the system has determined the best match conversation, the system plays back the conversation to the user.

摘要: Systems and methods are described herein for identifying media assets. A media guidance application may receive a first user rating for a first portion of a first media asset and a second user rating for a second portion of the first media asset. Each of the first portion and the second portion of the first media asset may be associated with metadata. The media guidance application may determine whether the second user rating is higher than the first user rating. The media guidance application may also determine a property of the first media asset determining a property of the first media asset based on the first metadata and the second metadata. In response to determining that the second user rating is higher than the first user rating, the media guidance application may identify a second media asset that is associated with the property of the first media asset.

摘要: Methods and systems for generating segmented media asset identifiers are described herein. The method includes retrieving a first media guidance data segment of a plurality of media guidance data segments. Each segment of the plurality of media guidance data segments includes a plurality of media asset identifiers and is navigationally linked to at least one other media guidance data segment. The method further involves generating for display the media asset identifiers of the first media guidance data segment. While generating for display the media asset identifiers of the first media guidance data segment, a first user input corresponding to navigating to the media asset identifiers of a linked media guidance data segment is received. In response to receiving the first user input, the linked media guidance data segment is retrieved, and the media asset identifiers of the linked media guidance data segment are generated for display.

摘要: Systems and methods for determining an intended user selection of a search result. For example, a system may display a first set of search results, including a first search result, and thereafter replace display of the first set of search results with a second set of search results, including a second search result. The system may receive selection of the second search result. If the selection of the second search result was received shortly after display of the second set of search results replaced the first set of search results, the system may update the selection from the second search result to the first search result. For example, if selection of the second search result occurred shortly after display of the second search result replaced the first search result, the system may determine that the user intended to select the first search result but inadvertently selected the second search result.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided herein for responding to a voice command at a volume level based on a volume level of the voice command. For example, a media guidance application may detect, through a first voice-operated user device of a plurality of voice-operated user devices, a voice command spoken by a user. The media guidance application may determine a first volume level of the voice command. Based on the volume level of the voice command, the media guidance application may determine that a second voice-operated user device of the plurality of voice-operated user devices is closer to the user than any of the other voice-operated user devices. The media guidance application may generate an audible response, through the second voice-operated user device, at a second volume level that is set based on the first volume level of the voice command.

摘要: Systems and methods are described herein for inserting supplemental content into a QAM signal. A unicast QAM signal between a server and a client device for delivery of content is established. The QAM signal has a particular frequency corresponding to the channel on which it will be transmitted to the client device. A request or other signal may be received from the client device requesting that supplemental content be inserted into the QAM signal. A portion of the bandwidth of the QAM signal is allocated for the supplemental content. The supplemental content is transcoded into a supplemental QAM signal in the particular frequency. The supplemental content may be packetized content such as internet protocol-based content and may be retrieved from a server or database. The supplemental QAM signal is then inserted into the unicast QAM signal using the allocated portion of the bandwidth.
