Abstract:
A method for storing a conversation upon a user's real-time request in a Converged-IP Messaging (CPM) service is provided. The method includes receiving a pager mode message including a dynamic user preference; identifying a setting of the dynamic user preference; and storing the pager mode message in a message storage server, depending on the setting of the dynamic user preference.
Abstract:
Provided are two types of schemes capable of reducing power consumption of a User Equipment (UE). The first scheme is to select a set capable of minimizing power consumption of the UE when the UE enters a sleep mode. The second scheme is a handover scheme in which the UE having entered the sleep mode maintains the sleep mode corresponding to a cooperative Base Station (BS) set in a handover of the UE.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method are provided for performing interworking between different messaging services in a Converged Internet Protocol (IP) Messaging (CPM) service. The method includes receiving, by a CPM server, a message generated based on a user input from an arbitrary terminal; requesting, by the CPM server, a presence server to provide presence information corresponding to a recipient of the message; receiving, from the presence server, the presence information that is transmitted in response to the request; deciding a type of a messaging service for interworking based on the presence information; and delivering, by the CPM server, the message to an Interworking Function (IWF) that converts the message according to the decided type of the messaging service.
Abstract:
A portable electronic device and a flip-type cover of the portable electronic device are provided. The flip-type cover includes a front cover, a rear cover configured to be detachably engaged with a rear surface of the portable electronic device, a connection cover configured to connect the front cover to the rear cover, a display screen disposed in the front cover, and a rear-cover Printed Circuit Board (PCB) mounted to the rear cover and connected to the portable electronic device, to receive data from the portable electronic device. If the flip-type cover is engaged with the portable electronic device, the rear-cover PCB transmits data received from the portable electronic device to the display screen.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for are provided direct communication with a user equipment. A method performed by an MCPTT client device includes transmitting, to a client device, a floor request message for an off-network group call; starting a timer; restarting the timer in response to the timer expiring before receiving a floor granted message; stopping the timer in response to receiving the floor granted message before the timer expires; retransmitting the floor request message each time the timer expires before receiving the floor granted message until a total number of transmissions reaches a predetermined number; transmitting, to the client device, a floor taken message indicating that the permission to send is granted to the MCPTT client device after transmitting the floor request message the predetermined number of times and the timer expires before receiving the floor granted message; and transmitting first media data to the client device.
Abstract:
An electronic device and method for the electronic device to process data are provided. The method includes retrieving information associated with at least one neighboring terminal, requesting, when the loss of data transmitted to a plurality of electronic devices is determined, transmission of the data of which a loss is determined, from the at least one neighboring terminal, based on the retrieved information associated with the at least one neighboring terminal and receiving the data of which the loss is determined, in response to the request.
Abstract:
Call processing methods and apparatuses are provided in a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) based network involving at least one Push-to-Talk (PTT) over Cellular PoC client and a reception side PoC server. The reception side PoC server receives an INVITE request including a Manual Answer Override (MAO) indication from a transmission side PoC server. The MAO indication is for establishing an auto-answer mode in a pre-established session. If a reception side PoC client has the pre-established session with the reception side PoC server, the reception side PoC server sends an OK response to the transmission side PoC server in response to the INVITE request. The reception side PoC server sends a communication connection request including the MAO indication to the reception side PoC client. The MAO indication is used to determine that a transmission side PoC client is an authorized user with respect to the reception side PoC client.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus are provided for performing wireless communication between terminals. An inquiry message is transmitted to a neighboring terminal. An inquiry response message is received from the neighboring terminal. It is determined whether the apparatus overlaps the neighboring terminal. When the apparatus overlaps the neighboring terminal, paging is automatically performed, without intervention of a user of the apparatus, and pairing between the apparatus and the neighboring terminal is established.
Abstract:
A method for setting a beam in a mobile communication system includes determining at least one of a beam width and a beam direction in consideration of a criteria value in response to a failure of a random access attempt, and retransmitting a beam based on the determined at least one of the beam width or the beam direction. The criteria value includes at least one of a beam gain history of a candidate beam combination and a previous transmission failure history.
Abstract:
A method for connection between a server and a client includes discovering, by the server, a client through a device discovery procedure, transmitting device-related information of the server to the client, or receiving the device-related information from the client, connecting with the client, and performing a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) operation through the connection.
