Abstract: A method for deploying and sharing aerial cells in a massive machine type communication (mMTC) network includes forecasting data traffic across a plurality of mMTC network operators for each of a plurality of geographical areas. The method includes generating a forecasted plan based on the forecasted data traffic, and a hovering time of each of a plurality of aerial cells. The method includes deploying and sharing at least one aerial cell from the plurality of aerial cells between the plurality of mMTC network operators to provide coverage to at least one mMTC node in at least one geographical area of the plurality of geographical areas, based on the forecasted plan.

Further, the method and apparatus include: receiving at least one of downlink data and signaling information for the second SIM when a N1 NAS is in CM-Connected state for the first SIM, and transmitting a NAS message indicating at least one of the downlink data and the signaling information for the second SIM over the N1 NAS connection of the first SIM.

Further, the method includes sending a request message to obtain a time gap configuration from one of: a first network entity (200a) when the UE (100) is registered and connected with the first network entity (200a) through the first SIM (150a) and to the second network entity (200b) when the UE (100) is registered and connected to the second network entity (200b) through the second SIM (150b). Further, the method includes receiving a response message comprising the time gap configuration from one of: the first network entity (200a) and the second network entity (200b). Further, the method includes activating the time gap configuration when the UE (100) is connected to one of: the first network entity (200a) and the second network entity (200b).

Further, the methods include transmitting, by the DSDS device, a connection suspend indication to the network entity to suspend the data communication over the first SIM, wherein the connection suspend indication is transmitted on one of a Layer-1 control signaling channel, a Layer-2 control signaling channel, and a Layer-3 control signaling channel.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for providing a fair access to a spinlock to one or more cores in a multicore system. The method includes setting, a spinlock variable by the first core of the one or more cores. Further, the method includes setting a secondary variable by the second core of the one or more cores. Abstract: A method for preventing a task-signal deadlock arising due to contention for a mutex in a real-time operating system (RTOS) includes detecting, by a processing unit, a signal notification sent to a task for execution of a signal handler; identifying, by the processing unit, a mutex to be acquired by the signal handler, when the signal notification is detected; determining whether the identified mutex has been acquired by the task; and utilizing, by the processing unit, an alternative stack for execution of the signal handler, in response to determining that the mutex has been acquired by the task, for preventing a task-signal deadlock during the execution.
