The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for an Internet service provider server providing a sponsored service, in which a service provider server pays a mobile communication usage fee in place of a user equipment, and the method for providing the sponsored service comprises: a connection step of selecting predetermined sponsored content so as to provide the sponsored service by means of the user equipment accessing the Internet service provider server; an authentication step of authenticating to the user equipment that the sponsor service is valid by a sponsorship manager, which is a device for managing the sponsor service, connecting with the user equipment on the mobile communication network; a step for the Internet transmitting to the user equipment the sponsored content that comprises in an IP packet either an IspCode, which is pre-allocated by the sponsorship manager for identifying the Internet provider server, or an IspTrfCode, which is pre-allocated by the sponsorship manager for identifying the sponsored service; and a ending step of ending the connection between the user equipment and the sponsorship manager, and the user equipment and the sponsorship manager collecting traffic information with regard to the sponsored service.

The present invention relates to a method for processing information between mobile communication systems in order to prevent the degradation of user-experienced performance when different types of mobile communication networks are used. The method for processing information at user equipment (UE) to improve user-experienced performance of a mobile communication system includes performing a data communication through a first network and receiving, from a policy server, a routing policy including a validity condition which is information about a condition of designating a UE status for handover. The method further includes, in the handover, if a searched second network satisfies the validity condition, performing the data communication through the second network. Accordingly, a network for data transmission can be selected using a routing policy created in consideration of a UE status or a network status, thereby enhancing user-experienced performance.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for managing a Local IP Access (LIP A) connection in a local network system. The method of managing a LIP A connection of UE in a connected state according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of a source home base station for UE determining a handover of the UE; when the handover of the UE is determined, determining whether a target home base station is a Long Term Evolution (LTE) release 10 or a Pre Rel-11 HeNB; and when the target home base station is a Pre Rel-11 HeNB, disconnecting the LIP A connection of the UE. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the mobility of UE having a LIPA PDN connection can be efficiently controlled in a local network where a Rel-11 H(e)NB and a Pre Rel-11 H(e)NB exist together.

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for managing a Local IP Access (LIP A) connection in a local network system. The method of managing a LIP A connection of UE in a connected state according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: a source home base station for UE determining a handover of the UE; when the handover of the UE is determined, determining whether a target home base station is a Long Term Evolution (LTE) release 10 or a Pre Rel-11 HeNB; and when the target home base station is a Pre Rel-11 HeNB, disconnecting the LIP A connection of the UE. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the mobility of UE having a LIPA PDN connection can be efficiently controlled in a local network where a Rel-11 H(e)NB and a Pre Rel-11 H(e)NB exist together.

Provided are a method and device that identify characteristics of data to be sent by a user equipment and send small-sized data via a control message. The data transmission method for the user equipment may include: generating IP data; determining whether the IP data corresponds to small data that has a size less than or equal to a preset reference size or matches identification information of a preset service; and transmitting the IP data through a connection management (CM) layer to the network by use of a control message.

The present invention relates to a method for controlling system overload in a wireless communication system. The method comprises: a first step in which a mobility management entity (MME) that has received a tracking region update request message from a first terminal transmits a location update request message to a home subscriber server (HSS); a second step in which, if the HSS has determined that a system overload has occurred, the HSS sets MME-backoff time for preventing the transmission of a request message to the HSS, and transmits a location update rejection message including said MME-backoff time to the MME; and a third step in which the MME drives a backoff timer corresponding to said MME-backoff time and rejects a TAU update request message from a terminal received prior to the completion of the driving of the backoff timer.

The method includes generating mobility history information upon entering an evolved universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) radio access network (E-UTRAN) from another radio access technology (RAT), the mobility history information including information on a time duration for which the terminal stayed outside of the E-UTRAN; receiving, from a base station, a request for the mobility history information; and transmitting the mobility history information to the base station, in response to the request.

It is identified whether the terminal is in a radio resource control (RRC) connected mode. The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and method for establishing connection between a User Equipment (UE) and a Mobility Management Entity (MME) in the wireless communication system in which the data-centric terminal requests the mobility management entity for attachment and checks, when the mobility management entity responds, data-centric features supported by the mobility management entity. According to the present invention, it is possible to connect the data-centric terminal to the mobility management entity supporting the data-centric features of the corresponding data-centric terminal efficiently in the wireless communication system.
