Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and method for establishing connection between a User Equipment (UE) and a Mobility Management Entity (MME) in the wireless communication system in which the data-centric terminal requests the mobility management entity for attachment and checks, when the mobility management entity responds, data-centric features supported by the mobility management entity. According to the present invention, it is possible to connect the data-centric terminal to the mobility management entity supporting the data-centric features of the corresponding data-centric terminal efficiently in the wireless communication system.

Abstract: In a user equipment of a wireless communication system, a method for signal transmission and reception may include: sending a request for a Circuit Switched voice network (CS) service to a Gateway Mobile Switching Center (GMSC) to send and receive data to and from a second user equipment; and receiving a call reject response corresponding to the service request from the GMSC, wherein the call reject response is sent by an entity in a core network of the second user equipment. According to an embodiment, it is possible to provide a suitable service to a sender terminal making a CS service request to a receiver terminal having subscribed only to a PS service without increasing network load.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and a connection method between user equipment and a mobility management entity and comprises: selecting a mobility management entity and requesting identification information for user equipment by a base station when the user equipment is connected; determining whether to assign identification information by the mobility management entity; and if the identification information is not assigned, selecting another mobility management entity by the mobility management entity, assigning identification information to the user equipment by the other mobility management entity, and performing a connection with the other mobility management entity by the user equipment. According to the present invention, user equipment can be efficiently connected with a mobility management entity in a wireless communication system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a system for providing a sponsored service on an IMS-based mobile communication network, and comprises the steps of: a sponsored service client transmitting to a sponsored service server a sponsored service start request message; the sponsored service server determining the validity of the sponsored service after receiving the start request message; transmitting to the sponsored service client a sponsored service start acceptance message when the sponsored service server determines the sponsored service as valid; generating a sponsored service between the sponsored service client and an Internet service provider server; the sponsored service server generating charged fee information and transmitting the charged fee information to an authentication/authorization/accounting (AAA) server, when the sponsored service client requests termination of the sponsored service; and terminating the sponsored service session. According to the present invention, the sponsored service, in which a third paπy Internet service provider can pay the cost using the mobile communication network instead of a wireless user equipment subscriber, can be provided, and the quality of the service can be dynamically controlled from the point the Internet service is provided.

Abstract: A method for encoding streaming data according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of dividing a forward error correction (FEC) source block into one or more FEC sub-blocks; a first encoding step of FEC encoding said one or more FEC sub-blocks; a second encoding step of encoding said FEC source block; and a step of generating third encoded data including first encoded data encoded in the first encoding step and second encoded data encoded in the second encoding step. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a streaming service can be smoothly provided to multiple users in various environments or in a communication environment that varies according to movement or changes in a communication state. Further, a plurality of pieces of parity information can be transmitted to provide a streaming service which is capable of high reliability data recovery.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for processing information between mobile communication systems in order to prevent the degradation of user-experienced performance when different types of mobile communication networks are used. The method for processing information at user equipment (UE) to improve user-experienced performance of a mobile communication system includes performing a data communication through a first network and receiving, from a policy server, a routing policy including a validity condition which is information about a condition of designating a UE status for handover. The method further includes, in the handover, if a searched second network satisfies the validity condition, performing the data communication through the second network. Accordingly, a network for data transmission can be selected using a routing policy created in consideration of a UE status or a network status, thereby enhancing user-experienced performance.
