An electronic apparatus, control method thereof, remote control apparatus that controls the electronic apparatus, and control method thereof. The remote control apparatus includes a communication unit which communicates with the electronic apparatus; a user input unit which receives a user button selection indicating an input button; a sensing unit which senses movement of the remote control apparatus; and a control unit which controls the communication unit to transmit information about the user button selection to perform a function corresponding to the input button if the remote control apparatus is in a button input mode, and to transmit information about the movement of the remote control apparatus to the electronic apparatus to control the electronic apparatus by the movement if the remote control apparatus is in a motion recognition mode. Accordingly, controlling a game or a multimedia content is easier, and the user is provided with a new and interesting experience.

An electronic apparatus is provided, which includes a display, a sensor including first and second light emitters which respectively emit first and second light, and a first light receiver which receives light reflected against an object positioned in front of the display, and a processor electrically connected with the display and the sensor and controlling the display based on a distance from the object calculated according to a time period that one of the first and second light is reflected against the object and returned, in which the processor drives the first light emitter and second light emitter such that the first light emitter and second light emitter emit at least a portion of the first and second light to different illumination regions.

The method includes determining a size of a virtual display screen formed by a plurality of display apparatuses connected to the computing apparatus; setting an initial position of a pointer associated with a pointing apparatus; computing determining a movement range of the pointing apparatus based on the size of the virtual display screen and the initial position of the pointer; and in response to receiving movement information about movement of the pointing apparatus within the movement range, controlling the plurality of display apparatuses to display the pointer in a corresponding portion of the virtual display screen.
