Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for synchronizing data by an electronic device. A first operation characteristic of a first image sensor of the electronic device and a second operation characteristic of a second image sensor of the electronic device are identified. At least one of a first access period of a first row of the first image sensor and a second access period of a second row of the second image sensor is changed, based on a difference between the first operation characteristic and the second operation characteristic, to synchronize the first access period and the second access period. The second row corresponds to the first row. Image data corresponding to the first row is acquired through the first image sensor based on the synchronized first access period. Image data corresponding to the second row is acquired through the second image sensor based on the synchronized second access period.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic device and a recording method thereof. The electronic device may comprise: a touch screen; an image sensor for capturing an image; a processor operatively connected to the touch screen and the image sensor; and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to designate at least a partial screen area of the touch screen as a motion detection area, determine whether a motion is detected in the motion detection area, and control the image sensor, in response to detecting the motion in the motion detection area, so as to perform super slow recording. Various other embodiments are also possible.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided and includes an image sensor including a first unit pixel including a first micro-lens and a plurality of first photodiodes facing each other with a first color filter interposed between the plurality of first photodiodes, and a second unit pixel including a second micro-lens and a plurality of second photodiodes facing each other with a second color filter interposed between the plurality of second photodiodes, a camera module including the image sensor, and a processor operatively connected with the image sensor. The first unit pixel includes a first photodiode, a second photodiode, a third photodiode, and a fourth photodiode, which are disposed in a square shape such that a horizontal number of photodiodes is identical to a vertical number of photodiodes. The second unit pixel includes a fifth photodiode, a sixth photodiode, a seventh photodiode, and an eighth photodiode, which are disposed in a square shape such that a horizontal number of photodiodes is identical to a vertical number of photodiodes. The image sensor identifies an operation setting and an external environmental condition of the camera module and, upon identifying that the operation setting is a preview mode and the external environmental condition is a high luminous environment, identifies a first area signal corresponding to a signal of the first photodiode and the second photodiode, which are concatenated with each other and included in the first unit pixel, and identifies a second area signal that corresponds to a signal of the fifth photodiode, included in the second unit pixel, corresponding to a location of the first photodiode and the sixth photodiode, included in the second unit pixel, corresponding to a location of the second photodiode, and forms first auto focus (AF) information based on the first area signal and the second area signal.

Abstract: According to certain embodiments, an image sensor including a pixel, the pixel including a micro lens, a plurality of photodiodes, and a color filter disposed between the plurality of photodiodes and the micro lens; a processor operatively connected to the image sensor; and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory stores one or more instructions that, when executed by the image sensor, cause the image sensor to perform a plurality of operations, the plurality of operations comprising: determining whether the image sensor is in a high-resolution mode; when the image sensor is in the high-resolution mode, calculating a disparity based on signals detected from the plurality of photodiodes; when the disparity is not greater than a threshold value, applying a first remosaic algorithm to the signals; and when the disparity is greater than the threshold value, applying a second remosaic algorithm to the signals.

At least one pixel of the image sensor includes a first sub-pixel, a second sub-pixel, a third sub-pixel, and a fourth sub-pixel. The first sub-pixel may be covered by a first micro lens, the second sub-pixel may be covered by a second micro lens, and the third sub-pixel and the fourth sub-pixel may be covered by a third micro lens. The processor obtains a light reflected from an external object, generates depth data, generates pixel data generates an image based on the pixel data, outputs the image, and moves one or more lenses based on the depth data.
