Abstract: An electronic device includes a touch screen display including an organic light emitting layer that is formed of a plurality of pixels, a wireless communication circuit, a processor operatively coupled with the display and the wireless communication circuit, and a memory operatively coupled with the processor. The memory stores instructions that, upon execution, enable the processor to provide a first mode of displaying a first graphical user interface (GUI) on the display by using a first number of colors in a state where all the pixels are turned on, a second mode of displaying a second GUI on the display by using a second number of colors in a state where some of the pixels are turned off, and a third mode of displaying a third GUI on the display by using the first number of colors in a state where some of the pixels are turned off, and select one of the first mode, the second mode or the third mode on the basis of at least one of a state of the electronic device, a content of the GUI or a use pattern of a user.

The display driver circuit is configured to identify an event for a display on the display panel. The display driver circuit is configured to, in response to the event of a first type that executes the display through the memory, change, at a timing before a reference time from a start timing of a scan for the display, a state of a signal provided from the display driver circuit to the processor from a first state indicating to enable an image transmission to the display driver circuit to a second state indicating to disable the image transmission. The display driver circuit is configured to, in response to the event of a second type that executes the display by bypassing the memory, change, at the start timing, the state of the signal provided from the display driver circuit to the processor from the first state to the second state.

The processor is configured to change, based on a second cycle different from the first cycle, a waveform of the pulse signal transmitted from the first cycle from a first waveform to a second waveform to synchronize, with a second time period in the processor used for the display of the image, the second time period in the display driver circuit used for the display of the image.

Here, time intervals between the multiple transmissions on the basis of the first transmission mode may be the same, and among time intervals between the multiple transmissions on the basis of the second transmission mode, a first time interval between a first transmission and a second transmission subsequent to the first transmission may be different from the other time intervals, except the first time interval, among the multiple transmissions on the basis of the second transmission mode.
