    Abstract: An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention comprises: a housing including a first plate and a second plate spaced apart from the first plate; a touch screen display disposed inside the housing and exposed through a part of the first plate; a pressure sensing circuit disposed between the first plate and the second plate, and configured to detect pressure caused by an external pressure applied to at least a part of the touch screen display; a wireless communication circuit disposed inside the housing; at least one processor disposed inside the housing and electrically connected to the touch screen display, the pressure sensing circuit, and the wireless communication circuit; and a memory disposed inside the housing and electrically connected to the processor, wherein the memory is configured to store an application program including a user interface and instructions, wherein the instructions are configured to cause the processor to, when executed, display at least one object on the user interface on the touch screen display, detect a pressure level for a user input in the at least one object or in the periphery thereof by using the pressure sensing circuit, and select one of a plurality of operations, related to the at least one object, on the basis of at least one part of the detected pressure level. Other embodiments are also possible.

    Abstract: An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a housing that comprises a first surface which faces a first direction and a second surface which faces a second direction opposite to the first direction, and that comprises a first transparent plate which forms at least a portion of the first surface of the housing; a display that is disposed between the first transparent plate and the second face of the housing, and comprises a second transparent plate which faces the first direction, and a third transparent plate which faces the second direction; a first electrode, a second electrode, a third electrode, and a fourth electrode that are disposed between the second transparent plate and the third transparent plate; and a control circuit that is electrically connected to the first electrode, the second electrode, the third electrode, and the fourth electrode, wherein the control circuit may be configured to detect the position of touch input with respect to the first transparent plate by using the first electrode, to detect the intensity of the touch input by using the second electrode, and to display visual information on at least a portion of the display by using the third electrode and the fourth electrode. In addition, an electronic device comprising a pressure sensor according to various embodiments of the present invention can provide a slim electronic device with reduced manufacturing costs by utilizing an integrated structure with a touch sensor and/or a fingerprint sensor and by disposing the touch sensor including the pressure sensor, and other sensors between various structures inside the display.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides an electronic device equipped with a pressure sensor according to various embodiments. The electronic device may include: a housing including a first face facing a first direction and a second face facing a second direction opposite to the first direction, and including a conductive material provided on at least a portion of the second face; a touch screen display disposed between the first face and second face of the housing and exposed through the first face; a first pressure sensor disposed between the touch screen display and the second face of the housing and configured to sense pressure of an external object for the touch screen display; a second pressure sensor coupled to the second face of the housing and configured to sense pressure of an external object for the second face of the housing; and a support member spaced apart from the second face of the housing in the second direction. The second pressure sensor may include: a conductive pattern disposed between the support member and the conductive material; and a dielectric layer disposed between the conductive pattern and the conductive material. The second pressure sensor may be configured to generate an output on the basis of a change in capacitance associated with the conductive pattern, the conductive material, and the dielectric layer. Various embodiments may be possible for the pressure sensor.
