Abstract: A display device that can correct the threshold voltage of a driving transistor without a correction of image data is provided. A display device including a pixel provided with a driving transistor, a display element, and a memory circuit and a correction data generation circuit is related. One of a source and a drain of the driving transistor is electrically connected to one electrode of the display element, and a gate of the driving transistor is electrically connected to the memory circuit. In a first period, the correction data generation circuit generates correction data that is data for correcting the threshold voltage of the driving transistor. In a second period, first data is written to the memory circuit. In a third period, second data is supplied to the pixel, whereby third data in which the second data is added to the first data is generated. In a fourth period, an image corresponding to the third data is displayed by the display element.

Abstract: To achieve a display device that is suitable for increasing in size and to provide a high-resolution display device. In the display device, three or more adjacent gate lines are supplied with the same selection signal. Three or more pixels that adjoin in the column direction are connected to different source lines. In each of the pixels, a transistor including a semiconductor layer is disposed. An inner source line among three or more source lines is disposed to overlap with a conductive layer that functions as a pixel electrode. Part of the semiconductor layer of the transistor is provided between the outer source line and a source line adjacent to the outer source line.

Abstract: Power consumption of a signal processing circuit is reduced. Further, power consumption of a semiconductor device including the signal processing circuit is reduced. The signal processing circuit includes a reference voltage generation circuit, a voltage divider circuit, an operational amplifier, a bias circuit for supplying bias current to the operational amplifier, and first and second holding circuits. The first holding circuit is connected between the reference voltage generation circuit and the bias circuit. The second holding circuit is connected between the voltage divider circuit and a non-inverting input terminal of the operational amplifier. Reference voltage from the reference voltage generation circuit and reference voltage from the voltage divider circuit can be held in the first and second holding circuits, respectively, so that the reference voltage generation circuit can stop operating. Thus, power consumption of the reference voltage generation circuit can be reduced.

Abstract: A display device with favorable display quality is provided. A display portion where a plurality of pixels is arranged in a matrix is divided into Region A and Region B, i.e., regions on the upstream side and the downstream side of a scanning direction. A signal line for supplying an image signal is provided in each of Region A and Region B. Region A and Region B adjoin each other such that a boundary line showing the boundary between the regions is bent. Bending the boundary line suppresses formation of a stripe in a boundary portion. For example, in a given column, the total number of pixels electrically connected to a signal line in Region A is made different from the total number of pixels electrically connected to a signal line in Region B.
