    摘要: A method for reserving non-colliding time slots by a node in a wireless network and a method for avoiding colliding time slots are provided. A transmitting node or a receiving node broadcasts information relating to its reserved time slot to neighbor nodes. A node in the wireless network recognizes information relating to time slots of neighbor nodes and of neighbor's neighbor nodes. Thus, when reserving a time slot for data transmission, time slot collision can be prevented by selecting the time slot based on the recognized information. If collision occurs in the reserved time slot and the node wants to cancel the reservation, the node informs a correspondent node of the reservation cancellation. Accordingly, the collision can be promptly resolved.

    摘要: A method for recognizing a receiving node by a transmitting node which transmits multicast data, and transmitting the multicast data to the receiving node in a wireless network including nodes that transmit and receive multicast data in at least one time slot. The transmitting node transmits a multicast solicit message indicating generation of the multicast data, and recognizes the receiving node by receiving from the receiving node a multicast join message containing information relating to the receiving node. The transmitting node selects at least one free time slot to reserve a time slot in which the generated multicast data is transmitted. The transmitting node transmits a multicast reservation request message containing information relating to the selected free time slot to the receiving node. The receiving node transmits a reservation response message to the transmitting node when the free time slot does not collide with reserved time slots of other nodes.

    摘要: Disclosed is a channel time allocation method in a high rate WPAN and a wireless system using the same. In the WPAN environment synchronized by a synchronization signal broadcasted from a coordinator, the channel time allocation method includes transmitting a channel time allocation request command corresponding to a property of an application data to be transmitted to the coordinator by any one of devices linked to the WPAN, and the coordinator allocating the channel time, inserting information of the allocated channel time to the synchronization signal, and broadcasting the synchronization signal to the devices. Accordingly, the channel time is allocated to fit for the property of the VBR stream data such as the MPEG-2 video so that the QoS of the VBR stream is provided. At the same time, reliability of the transmission of I frame is enhanced so that success rate of decoding the frame is increased.

The handoff processing method stores in a handoff buffer Host Control Interface (HCI) data and transmission data upon communications in a state where an Access Point is interlinked with an external device. Further, the method forwards the HCI data and the transmission data buffered in the handoff buffer to a new Access Point (AP) transmitting a message indicating setup completion of a connection if the message indicating setup completion of a connection with the external device is transmitted from the new AP after a handoff occurs as the external device moves. Accordingly, throughputs are not lowered despite handoff occurrences in poor wireless channel environments, so that service quality can be enhanced.

The data communications device includes: a plurality of WAP terminals each having a protocol stack in which a Circuit Switch Data service (CSD) protocol layer is laid under a Wireless Transaction Protocol (WTP) layer and a Wireless Datagram Protocol (WDP) layer, for generating WAP data which is service request data; a plurality of WAP servers each having a protocol stack in which a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) layer and an Internet Protocol (IP) layer are laid under a WTP layer and a WDP layer, for providing the WAP terminals with WAP server data according to the WAP data; and an interworking function (IWF) unit having a CSD protocol layer connected to the CSD protocol layers of each WAP terminal, and a TCP layer and an IP layer which are connected to the TCP and IP layers of each WAP server, for mapping the WAP terminals to the corresponding WAP servers, wherein each WAP terminal communicates with the IWF unit though a single Internet Protocol/Peer-to-Peer Protocol (IP/PPP) layer included in its own CSD protocol layer, and the IWF unit communicates through the Internet with each WAP server. Because there is no redundancy of IP/PPP protocol layers in the WAP terminal, overhead is considerably reduced. Also, the IWF unit is directly connected through the Internet to the WAP server, not through the PSTN and the ISP, so that connection time and costs can be reduced.
