    摘要: An electronic device (e.g. an optical disk reproducing apparatus) can be connected to an external apparatus (e.g. a display apparatus) and has a standby state as a power state. The electronic device includes a movable member (e.g. a disk tray) which is provided to be ejectable from and retractable into a body of the electronic device and be movable between an ejected position and a refracted position; a driver which drives the movable member, a detector which detects whether the movable member is at the retracted position, a communication unit which receives various control signals from the external apparatus, a power controller which controls the power state of the electronic device, a controller which controls the driver to locate the movable member to the retracted position when the power state of the electronic device is changed to the standby state by the power controller. The power controller controls whether to change the power state to the standby state according to a result of the detection by the detector, when the communication unit receives a predetermined control signal.

The server device includes: a video recording processing section for recording a movie and generating movie data, made up of predetermined data units, and management information in which a playback duration and a data size are associated with each other for each unit; a storage medium to store the movie data and management information; a receiving section, which receives a request to get the management information and a request to transmit the data unit from the client device; a request processing section for reading the management information and data unit in response to the requests and instructing their transmission; and a transmitting section for transmitting them. If the request to transmit has been received after the management information was transmitted, the request processing section instructs that at least a piece of the newest management information be transmitted with the unit selected by the request to transmit.

    摘要: First image data including a first pixel value according to the intensity of background light is obtained by means of only exposure. Second image data including a second pixel value according to the intensity of the light reflected or scattered by an object is obtained by so controlling light emission and exposure as to receive part of the reflected or scattered light over the whole exposure period. The part of the reflected or scattered light corresponds to the flat period of emitted pulsed light. Third image data including a third pixel value according to the distance to the object is obtained by so controlling light emission and exposure as to receive the part of the reflected or scattered light for a time according to the distance. The first pixel value is subtracted from each of the second and third pixel values so that the influence of the background light can be excluded. The ratio between the subtraction results is calculated so that the influences of factors that vary the intensity of the reflected or scattered light can be cancelled.

Accordingly, all of the plurality of linear arrays of protruding parts in the chamfered end section can be used to form the internal thread by plastic deformation of an inner circumferential surface of a hole to be tapped.

A second display displays an operation state of the data processing device.
