    摘要: Disclosed is an electromagnetic coupling designed to strengthen the magnetic force exerted from an electromagnetic coil in the direction in which a pilot clutch is operated. In the electromagnetic coupling with the pilot clutch for activating a main clutch wherein clutch plates are thrust with a retaining ring moved by magnetic force produced by an electromagnetic coil in the pilot clutch, the electromagnetic coil in the pilot clutch is surrounded with ferromagnetic material over at least two of its three facial sides other than its magnetic force exerting facial side, namely over at least its rear and outer facial sides and the ferromagnetic material is covered with nonmagnetic material.

Applied to the process of fitting a ring of nonmagnetic material into an annular space formed between an inner and an outer member each made of magnetic material, the method includes bringing an inner and an outer peripheral surface of the ring of nonmagnetic material each into a semi-molten state and bringing the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the ring of nonmagnetic material into pressure contact with the inner and outer members, respectively, to join the inner and outer peripheral surfaces to the inner and outer members, respectively, by interfacial fusion.

    摘要: There is provided a method for forming a disc-shaped blank in which a disc-shaped thin plate material is, at an outer peripheral portion thereof, swaged towards an axial side of the plate material with a roll die to thicken the outer peripheral portion and is shaped into a cross-sectional configuration corresponding to that of a dish, the method comprises the steps of: sandwiching and securing between a pair of sandwiching members the disc-shaped thin plate material except for the outer peripheral portion including a swaging portion; swaging the swaging portion projecting from the sandwiching members so that an outermost end of the swaging portion may be shaped into a cross-sectional configuration corresponding to that of an arrowhead while a root portion of the swaging portion has the same thickness as the original thin thickness of the plate material; thereafter, bending the outer peripheral portion including the thick-walled swaged portion at the root portion thereof from one side surface of the disc-shaped thin plate material towards the other side direction and forming a bent portion into an L-shaped configuration in cross section so that the bent portion may lie within a predetermined width; and thereafter, forging the bent portion in a closed state so that an inner surface and outer surface thereof may each have predetermined dimensions.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a driver plate comprises the steps of swaging the outer peripheral portion of a disk-shaped raw material in the radial direction thereof using a swaging die so as to form the outer peripheral portion in a thick wall portion, holding the swaged material between an upper and a lower die and pressing the material through the upper and lower dies so as to form it into a dish-shaped blank, and pressing radially the thick-walled outer peripheral portion of the dish-shaped blank held between a support die disposed either on the outside or on the inside thereof and a gear tooth profile forming die so as to form gear teeth either on the radially outside or on the radially inside of the outer peripheral portion. As an alternative, gear teeth may be formed by cold rolling work or gear teeth cutting work using a gear hobbing machine or one of other gear teeth cutting machines.

    摘要: A hollow stepped article is formed from a solid blank to reduce the material cost, and cracking is prevented in a stepped portion of large diameter when a portion of the blank is de-formed by its radial expansion. A hollow, stepped shaft is formed by holding an upper and a lower part axially of a solid rod-like blank with an upper and a lower die, respectively, which have a stepped recess of large diameter in a region where they are op-posed to each other; compressing the blank from both its axially opposite sides with an upper and a lower punch each of which is smaller in diameter than the blank, thereby extruding the blank so that an axial hollow is formed therein about its axis in each of its upper and lower parts and that a portion of the blank op-posed to the stepped recess of large diameter expands in diameter and deforms into that recess while leaving a solid plug-like portion between the punches; and thereafter further compressively moving one of the punches to shear the solid plug-like portion and force it out of the blank, whereby the blank is formed with a stepped portion of large diameter by radially expanding deformation in a region intermediate between its op-posed ends or at one of these ends and with a continuous axial hollow about its axis.

    摘要: A double action oil hydraulic press is provided having a main cylinder for actuating a slide and a lower part forming cylinder for actuating a lower part forming unit, wherein the operations of the cylinders are controlled through the combined control of the rotation of an oil hydraulic pump of a power unit and servo valves whereby the amount of operation oil that must be used is reduced. To this end, the press comprises a power unit comprising a variable displacement oil hydraulic pump adapted to be driven by an inverter motor; controllable servo valves provided in hydraulic circuits connecting the power unit to the main cylinder and to the lower part forming cylinder, respectively; servo controllers for controlling the servo valves, respectively; cylinder pressure detecting sensors provided in the hydraulic circuits, respectively; position detecting sensors for sensing positions of the slide and the lower part forming unit, respectively; a control unit for furnishing the inverter motor of the power unit and the servo controllers with control signals, respectively, and means whereby respective sensing signals of the cylinder pressure and position detecting sensors are fed back to the control unit.

    摘要: A disc-shaped material is prepared by punching a high carbon steel plate or soft steel plate, and the disc-shaped material is fixed in position. An outer peripheral portion of the disc-shaped material is heated to a temperature of 400.degree.-500.degree. C. y means of a high frequency heater. The outer peripheral portion of the disc-shaped material is swaged to form a thickened portion by a swaging die and the thickened portion is then spun to plastically form a toothed gear to the outer peripheral portion of the disc-shaped material in two steps of coarse working and finish working by spinning dies. The thus formed toothed gear is further heated as occasion demands to a temperature of about 900.degree. C. for quenching.
