Abstract: To inspect the coupling condition of two matable connector housings, one of the connector housings is formed with a guide recessed portion on an upper surface thereof so as to be fittable to the lower end surface of an image tube, an aperture at the center of the guide recessed portion through which connector housing coupling condition can be seen, and at least one groove indicative of the connector model code; an image tube is lowered so that the lower end portion of the image tube is brought into contact with the guide recessed portion to take an image; the detected image is compared with reference patterns to check whether the connector housings are coupled normally; an alarm is generated if abnormal; and the total number of normally coupled connectors can be displayed for each connector model code.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a connector which comprises a female housing and a male housing to be inserted and fitted into the female housing for establishing an electrical connection therebetween. The connector further comprises locking member pivotably provided on one of the female and male housings in such a manner that one housing is locked with the other housing by the locking member only when the female and male housings are properly fitted together. The locking member includes engagement projection for temporarily hooking the locking member to one housing until the other housing is inserted into one housing. On the other housing, there is provided a projection for disengaging the lock member from one housing when one housing is inserted into the other housing.

Abstract: Enclosed herein is a connector which comprises a connector housing having a rear portion thereof. A plurality of terminal accommodating compartments are formed in the connector housing and each terminal accommodating compartment has an aperture. A plurality of terminals connected to wires, respectively, are inserted into the terminal accommodating compartment through the apertures. A cover member removably attached to the rear portion of the connector housing is provided. Abstract: The present invention provides a system which can easily connect a shielding wire and a terminal in a shielding connector without damaging an internal sheath of the shielding wire and causing contact between a shielding layer and core wires of the shielding wire. The system has a shielding layer pressing member having an inner diameter substantially the same as the outer diameter of the internal sheath of the shielding wire, and shielding tube 7. The shielding layer pressing member is fitted to the terminal of the shielding layer exposed by stripping a terminal portion of the external sheath of the shielding wire, and is slid toward the remaining portion of the external sheath to contract the shielding layer. The shielding tube is inserted between the internal sheath and the external sheath with the contracted portion of the shielding layer therebetween and is fixed by caulking from the outside thereof. One end of the shielding tube is brought into contact with the inner surface of a connector housing to create continuity between the shielding layer and a connector housing.

Abstract: A structure for connecting a shielded-cable end in which the braid of the shielded cable is simply and reliably connected to a metal sleeve. The metal sleeve includes a through-tube the diameter of which is greater than that of an external sheath disposed around the braid of the shielded cable and a through-hole which is smaller than the outer diameter of the braid and is equivalent to or greater than the outer diameter of an internal sheath within the braid.
