摘要: An optical lens 1 makes three components of visible light and near infrared light in different wavelength regions severally form images at different locations according to their wavelengths. An imaging element 2 has a plurality of pixels, which include pixels having a visible light detection section 6 and pixels having a near infrared light detection section 8. The visible light detection section 6 has three detectors 3, 4, and 5 which detect three components of visible light which form images at locations of different depths in the same pixel according to their wavelengths. The near infrared light detection section 8 has a near infrared light detector 7 which detects near infrared light which forms an image at a location of a depth different from the depths at which the three components of visible light form images. Clear color images with good color reproducibility are obtained by the visible light detection section 6, and at the same time clear luminance information or monochrome images are obtained by the near infrared light detection section 8.

摘要: A gas transfer pipe arrangement includes a pipe in which gas containing droplets flows. A centrifugal force type separation unit is provided in the pipe for applying a radial centrifugal force to the gas flowing in the pipe so that the droplets in the gas adhere to an inner periphery of the pipe to be separated from the gas. A liquid collecting unit is annularly provided on the inner periphery of the pipe at a position downstream of the centrifugal force type separation unit for collecting a liquid from the droplets separated by the centrifugal force type separation unit. A discharge unit is provided at a lower side of the pipe for discharging the liquid collected by the liquid collecting unit to the exterior of the pipe.

摘要: An offset-drift correcting device is designed for a gyro-sensor mounted on an object and outputting a signal representing an angular speed of the object. The device includes a first section for detecting whether or not the object is rotating. A second section connected to the gyro-sensor is operative for smoothing the angular speed represented by the output signal of the gyro-sensor, and deriving an average angular speed of the object from the angular speed represented by the output signal of the gyro-sensor. A third section connected to the first section and the second section is operative for estimating an offset level of the output signal of the gyro-sensor in response to the average angular speed derived by the second section in cases where the first section detects that the object is not rotating. The third section includes an adaptive filter processing an output signal of the second section which represents the derived average angular speed. A fourth section connected to the gyro-sensor and the third section is operative for subtracting the offset level estimated by the third section from the output signal of the gyro-sensor to convert the output signal of the gyro-sensor into an offset-free signal.

摘要: An anticollision system for an objective lens for use in an optical data reproducing apparatus. The apparatus is constructed so that the relative distance between the objective lens and a data recording medium is detected, and the objective lens pulled away from the data recording medium to prevent the objective lens from colliding with the data recording medium when the detected relative distance is reduced to a predetermined value or below. Consequently, a collision between the objective lens and the data recording medium can be prevented if the following operation fails or malfunctions.

摘要: A secondary air supply system for an internal combustion engine for suppressing combustion when a throttle valve is fully closed. A secondary air supply system is controlled with a microprocessor which controls other circuits such as the vehicle ignition circuit. Sensors provide outside air temperature data, internal pressure and engine rpm to the microprocessor. The microprocessor addresses the memory based on a computation including these sensed values. The memory in turn controls valves in a secondary air supply system.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method in which grades of oil are refined according to their object from a feed oil. This method has a solvent extraction process that obtains an extracted oil, and a hydrogenation process that subjects the obtained extracted oil to hydrogenation process in the presence of hydrogen and a catalyst to obtain a hydrorefined oil. The solvent extraction conditions are selected by using the poly-aromatic concentration as an index for calculating the concentration of heptane insoluble components in the residue of the extracted oil obtained by the solvent extraction process that cannot be fractionally distilled.

摘要: A driving assistance apparatus includes: cameras; a plurality of virtual observing point converting unit; an image synthesizing unit for synthesizing image information supplied from this virtual observing point converting unit; an obstacle sensing unit such as an ultrasonic-wave sensor and a millimeter-wave radar; a safety area predicting unit; and a safety area superposing unit. Then, the safety area predicting unit predicts such a safety area where an obstacle is not present based upon both a distance “d1” and an approximate direction, which are obtained from the obstacle sensing unit. Also, the safety area superposing unit superposes the safety area predicted by the safety area predicting unit on an image synthesized by way of cameras to display the synthesized image superposed with the safety area.
