摘要: A centrifugal separator apparatus for separating components of a fluid stream;
the apparatus comprising a support structure and a centrifugal separator unit rotatably mounted on the support structure so as to be rotatable about a rotational axis extending through the centrifugal separator unit;
a drive element for driving rotation of the centrifugal separator unit;
wherein the centrifugal separator unit comprises a centrifugal separation chamber having an inlet which is connected or connectable to a source of fluid requiring separation, a first outlet for collecting a higher density component of the fluid stream, and a second outlet for collecting a lower density component of the fluid stream;
the first outlet being connected or connectable to a first collector for collecting the higher density component and the second outlet being connected or connectable to a second collector for collecting the lower density component;
the centrifugal separation chamber comprising a curved or inclined guide surface for guiding flow of the fluid from the inlet in a radially outward direction;
wherein the centrifugal separator unit is provided with a wall member which is axially movable to provide a selected degree of occlusion of the first outlet and thereby control flow of the higher density component through the first outlet.-

摘要: An apparatus to separate water droplets from an air stream. The apparatus includes an elongated tube, a reservoir, and a helix structure. The elongated tube has a first end, a second end, a longitudinal axis, an inner surface, an inlet opening at the first end of the elongated tube, the inlet opening arranged to accept the air stream tangentially relative to the longitudinal axis, and an outlet opening at the second end of the elongated tube. The reservoir is positioned at a second end of the elongated tube. The helix structure is positioned within the elongated tube and includes an upper surface, a lower surface arranged opposite the upper surface, an outer edge, and a variable pitch along a length of the elongated tube, the variable pitch providing a variable interior angle between an inner wall of the elongated tube and the upper surface of the helix structure.

摘要: Systems are disclosed for separating and collecting liquid and particulate from a flowing gas stream. The systems may include a plurality of horizontally oriented helical separators positioned in a vessel between a gas stream inlet and a gas stream outlet. The helical separators form helical channels for the gas stream and may include an upstream conical portion. The vessel includes a first space upstream from the helical separators wherein the gas stream changes direction before entering the helical separators, such that the change in direction causes mechanical separation of liquids or solids from the gas stream. The vessel may also form a second space downstream from the helical separators for collecting liquid and particulate separated from the gas stream. The first and second spaces in the vessel may each include a drain which empties into a common sump, such that the first and second spaces are in fluid communication.

摘要: The present invention discloses a cyclone generator for a pipeline type oil-water separator which separates oil from water using the principle of cyclone. The cyclone generator comprises: flow deflectors which are fixedly arranged along the circumferential direction of a pipe to generate, when an oil-water mixture flows through the flow deflectors, a centrosymmetric cyclone field to centrifugally separate oil from water. The present invention further discloses an oil-water separation device which uses the aforementioned principle, the mixture of oil and water flowing through the device forms a centrosymmetric cyclone field in which an oil core is distributed in the central area of a pipe without shifting significantly so as to achieve an excellent oil-water separation effect.

摘要: A system and methods for separating liquids, aerosols, and solids from a flowing gas stream whereby gas flows through a helical path formed in a separator element. Partially separated gas exits the bottom of the separator element at a generally conical cavity. Clean gas exits through an inner tube that is axially aligned beneath the helical path. Separated materials exit through an annular space between the inner tube and an outer tube. Separation occurs in the helical channels which include radially diverging walls to provide an aerodynamically efficient flow, in a region of high swirl created in a generally conical cavity beneath the separator element. In higher liquid-loading or slug flow conditions, a passageway may be formed in the separator element for recirculating a portion of the gas flow exiting from the bottom of the outer tube, into an axial passage in the helical separator, and exiting from the bottom of the helical separator near the vertex of the conical cavity.

摘要: A gas-liquid separator is provided having a chamber extending in an axial direction (z) and having at least a flow chamber portion extending into a collecting chamber portion. A deflector is arranged in the flow chamber portion and the deflector has a deflector panel extending radially outwardly (r) and in axial direction (z) to form a narrowing flow channel between the deflector and a side wall of the chamber, wherein the deflector panel has a free edge. There is at least one gas outlet shielded by the deflector panel and being arranged axially offset from the free edge.

摘要: The invention relates to a hollow body (2) formed at least in regions as a hollow cylinder and having an integrated oil separating device, wherein a vortex generator (4) is disposed in a hollow space (3) of the hollow body (2), wherein the hollow body (2) comprises at least one inlet opening (9) on the jacket side for introducing gas charged with oil into the hollow space (3) and wherein the hollow body (2) comprises at least one discharge opening for discharging separated oil and for discharging gas freed of oil. According to the invention, an oil separating ring (5) is disposed within the hollow space (3) and downstream of the vortex generator (4) as seen in the flow direction. The invention further relates to a cylinder head cover having such a hollow body (2).
