Abstract:
An exhaust device includes an exhaust pipe connected at its upstream end to a cylinder head of the engine and an exhaust muffler connected to the downstream end of the exhaust pipe for suppressing the generation of noise from a heat insulating cover that covers a part of the exhaust pipe. A heat insulating cover covers a portion of the exhaust pipe near the engine and a stay is fixed to the heat insulating cover. The stay includes a supporting plate portion curved so as to partially surround the outer circumference of the exhaust pipe. A first vibration isolating member is provided that is sandwiched between the outer circumference of the exhaust pipe and the supporting plate portion, a band member is tightened to mount the supporting plate portion to the exhaust pipe, and a second vibration isolating member is sandwiched between the supporting plate portion and the band member.
Abstract:
An IC socket is provided which can absorb the difference in linear expansion coefficient between the housing and the circuit board, and thus prevent the occurrence of solder cracking and warping, without lowering the strength of the housing. First slits which have bottoms and which extend from the upper surface of the housing toward the undersurface of the housing are formed between specified rows of pin receiving openings which are formed in the upper surfaces of contact press-fitting accommodating holes that are arranged in the form of a matrix. These holes pass entirely through the housing from the upper surface to the undersurface. Second slits which have bottoms and which extend from the undersurface of the housing toward the upper surface of the housing are formed between specified rows of solder ball receiving cavities formed in the undersurfaces of the contact receiving cavities in positions where the first slits are not formed.
Abstract:
A communication apparatus connectable to an ISDN network and having a communication function and a data communication function comprises a memory for storing a destination number in a speech mode, an instruction unit for instructing data communication in the speech mode, and call means for calling based on the destination number stored in the memory in response to an instruction from the instruction unit.
Abstract:
When data communication is to be performed, character code data and image data are divided into different block areas, the block area of the image data is further divided into block areas in accordance with image characteristics of the image data, and the data of the respective block areas are communicated, thereby efficiently communicating the data.
Abstract:
Character and control code data are input from a keyboard into a memory. A CRT display unit displays one line of data stored in the memory. A printer is automatically activated to print the line of data in response to a carriage return or line feed code, a hyphen near the right margin or a space near the right margin with a character in the right margin position. In the latter case, the next line is displayed starting with the character position following the space. The printer prints the line while the next line is being input and displayed. The margins, tab positions and a hot zone near the right margin are displayed above the line of data while a cursor is displayed below the line. Character codes such as backspace codes are displayed with the data and the positions of the data on the display always correspond to the printed data positions. Editing functions including back deletion and character insertion are provided. A hyphenation alarm is activated when a character is present in the right margin position and the cursor is rightwardly thereof. In response to a sensed operating condition such as printer error, a corresponding error message replaces the data on the display unit.
Abstract:
To provide a small watercraft capable of suppressing vibration and noise of a vessel body, a jet pump is mounted to a hull via a thrust plate. A dynamic damper is disposed as an adjunct at a plate mounting portion that attaches the thrust plate to the hull. More specifically, the thrust plate is first mounted to the hull. Then, with a flange portion of the jet pump pressed up against a rear surface of the thrust plate, a second bolt is screwed in toward the thrust plate from an outward side of the hull. The jet pump is thereby attached to the rear surface of the thrust plate.
Abstract:
Provided is a surface-mounted IC socket having a base housing and a gripping sheet. The base housing has a top surface and contacts. A slider moves over the top surface of the base housing and has an upper surface with a plurality of pin contact receiving holes arranged in the form of a matrix that receives pin contacts formed on an IC package that contact the contacts. Projecting parts having outer edges protrude from the upper surface. The gripping sheet has cuts corresponding to the projecting parts and is pasted on the upper surface such that the cuts correspond to the projecting parts.
Abstract:
A compact ZIF type socket is provided having the durability to withstand numerous movements of the slider. The ZIF type IC socket 1 consists of a base housing assembly 10 that accommodates numerous contacts, and a cover housing assembly 40 that can slide over the base housing assembly 10. The cover housing assembly 40 is caused to move in relative terms by inserting a plate-form tool 99 into tool insertion holes 65 and 85 respectively formed in a metal supporting plate 60 on the side of the base housing assembly 10 and a metal supporting plate 80 on the side of the cover housing assembly 40, and rotating this tool 99. The action points of the tool insertion holes 65 and 85 contacted by the tool 99 are formed as circular-arc-form projections 75, 76, 95 and 96. Accordingly, the force of the tool 99 can be transmitted to the base housing assembly 10 and cover housing assembly 40 without causing indentation or damage, etc., of the tool insertion holes 65 and 85, so that a highly durable ZIF type socket can be obtained.
Abstract:
A shielded electrical connector provides a highly-reliable grounding connection of shell members comprising a metal shield to a ground circuit of a circuit board in which a grounding connection is accomplished by mounting screws. The shielded electrical connector (1) comprises an insulating housing (10), upper and lower shell members (21, 22) form a metal shield and they are arranged on a top and a bottom of the housing (10), and mounting screws (30) are provided to secure the connector (1) on a circuit board (40). The upper shell member (21) has spring-loaded contact members (23) as integral parts of the upper shell member that form spring-loaded electrical connection with threaded portions (31) of the mounting screws (30). Heads (32) of the mounting screws (30) form electrical connection with a ground circuit of the circuit board (40), thus grounding the upper shell member (21) to the circuit board (40) through the mounting screws (30).
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus in which the pixel density of image data being received or transmitted can be converted when the image being received or to be transmitted is formed. The apparatus photoelectrically reads a document image at a fixed pixel density and can be manually instructed to execute or not to execute a conversion process on the pixel density of the read image data. If instructed to execute the conversion process the image data whose pixel density has been converted is encoded and transmitted, and if instructed not to execute the conversion process the non-converted image data is transmitted.
