Abstract: Disclosed is a method of receiving and processing content-sending inputs received by a head-worn device system including one or more display devices, one or more cameras and a vertically-arranged touchpad. The method includes displaying a content item on the one or more display devices, receiving a touch input on the touchpad corresponding to a send instruction, displaying a carousel of potential recipients, receiving a horizontal touch input on the touchpad, scrolling the carousel left or right on the one or more display devices in response to the horizontal touch input, receiving a tap touch input on the touchpad to select a particular recipient, receiving a further touch input, and in response to the further touch input, transmitting the content item to the selected recipient.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for adaptively adjusting brightness of a wearable device projection system. The systems and methods perform operations comprising: causing projection elements of the AR wearable device to project an image; receiving a measure of ambient light from an ambient light sensor; adjusting one or more hardware parameters of the projection elements of the AR wearable device based on the measure of ambient light; modifying one or more color values of the image displayed by the projection elements of the AR wearable device based on the measure of ambient light; and projecting the image with the modified color values using the projection elements of the AR wearable device with the adjusted one or more hardware parameters.

The augmented reality system receives an augmented reality experience request and in response to the augmented reality request, causes display of a set of augmented reality content items based on the first tracking data and simultaneously activates a second set of sensors. The augmented reality system receives second tracking data from the activated second set of sensors. The augmented reality system updates the display of the set of augmented reality content items based on the second tracking data.

Abstract: A method of activating a head-worn device is disclosed. The method includes activating the head-worn device and performing a partial bootup. When an instruction to perform a function is received, it is determined whether or not the instruction is permitted for partial bootup execution. The instruction is executed based on the instruction being permitted for partial bootup execution, and a bootup of the head-work device is completed based on the instruction not being permitted for partial bootup execution. The method may further comprise determining if the instruction requires user authentication in order to be executed, and based on the instruction being partial bootup compatible and not requiring user authentication, executing the instruction.
