Abstract:
An optically transparent adhesive compound, a process for producing it and an adhesive transfer tape comprising the adhesive compound. The present invention also relates to the use of the adhesive compound. The optically transparent adhesive compound is for bonding displays, holographic optical elements, lenses and glasses, including: 80 to 100% by weight of at least one (meth)acrylate-containing copolymer A, the copolymer A composed of 15 to 95% by weight of linear alkyl (meth)acrylate monomers, wherein the number of carbon atoms of the alkyl radicals of the linear alkyl (meth)acrylate monomers is 6 to 10, and 5 to 30% by weight of hydroxy group-containing (meth)acrylate monomers. Further, the adhesive compound has a haze value of less than 5% and a transmission at 400 nm to 800 nm of more than 90%, each measured according to ASTM D1003-13.
Abstract:
Composite made of two substrates for use for optical, electronic and/or precision-engineered equipment, comprising a first substrate and a second substrate and, arranged so as to connect the first substrate to the second substrate, an adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer comprises an adhesive which has, relative to the mixture, (a) from 60% by weight to 90% by weight of a first polymer component based on polyacrylate and (b) from 10% by weight to 40% by weight of a second polymer component based on elastomers, where the second polymer component is essentially not miscible with the first polymer component, so that the adhesive is present in at least two separate phases in the adhesive layer.
Abstract:
Pressure-sensitive adhesives and methods, for bonding flexible printing plates, comprising at least one adhesive component comprising at least one polymer component based on a monomer mixture comprising at least one of the following monomers: at least one acrylic ester; at least one methacrylic ester; acrylic acid; and methacrylic acid. The pressure-sensitive adhesives further comprise 1 to 30 wt %, based on the overall blend of the at least one adhesive component without solvent, of a polyvinyl acetate.
Abstract:
Crosslinked pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising at least one base polymer component obtainable by free-radical copolymerization of the following monomers: a) linear acrylic esters having 2 to 10 C atoms in the alkyl radical, b) branched, non-cyclic acrylic esters having a glass transition temperature Tg (based on the DSC measurement to DIN 53765) of not more than −20° C., c) 8% to 15% by weight of acrylic acid, d) optionally up to 10% by weight of further copolymerizable monomers, characterized in that the ratio of the linear acrylic esters to the branched acrylic esters is in the range from 1:6 to 10:1 mass fractions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a primer, comprising a mixture dissolved or dispersed in one or more solvents, the mixture composed of a copolymer obtained through copolymerization, preferably free-radical copolymerization, of vinylcaprolactam and/or vinylpyrrolidone, and one or more of the following monomers: a) an acrylic acid ester of a linear primary alcohol containing 2 to 10 carbon atoms in the alkyl group of the alcohol, b) an acrylic acid ester of a branched, non-cyclic alcohol having 4 to 12 carbon atoms in the alkyl group of the alcohol, and c) acrylic acid; one or more organofunctional silanes; a dye or a pigment based on a metal complex or a metal oxide, wherein the metal oxide is of a spinel-type. Such primer provide reliable and excellent adhesion between pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes and hydrophilic surfaces, in particular glass, and ensures at the same time a good coloration of the primer, thereby producing an opaque primer layer.
