    Abstract: An airbag cover includes a substrate and a skin adhered to the substrate. The substrate includes an H-shaped tear seam and doors that are disposed on both sides of a crossbar portion of the tear seam and openable for forming an emergence opening when the tear seam tears. The skin includes a breakable region that is formed into a straight line and breakable to form the emergence opening. The breakable region includes a central portion disposed immediately above the crossbar portion, and two extended portions which extend from opposite ends of the central portion to outside of the vertical portions. The skin further includes, in each of the extended portions of the breakable region, an unadhered region where the skin is not adhered to the substrate. Each of the unadhered regions has a band shape whose width is smaller than a length of the vertical-bar portion of the tear seam.

    Abstract: Provided are a resin molded component, a method for producing the resin molded component, and a method for producing a welded resin-molded article which ensure appropriate welding at a portion to be welded, without causing insufficient strength. A resin molded component 1 includes a body portion 10 and a rib 11 integrally molded with each other, the rib 11 protruding from the body portion 10 and configured to be infrared welded to a predetermined resin component 2, the resin molded component 1 having a foamed layer 12 formed at least in the body portion 10. A leading end portion of the rib 11 of the resin molded component 1 has a thinned remainder 11b which has been thinned relative to a root portion of the rib. For example, the rib width of the thinned remainder 11b of the rib 11 is smaller than the rib width of the root portion.

    Abstract: An airbag door structure includes a base material and a door member. The door member has a frame portion formed in a tubular shape and a first door portion and a second door portion which are partitioned while interposing a predetermined dividing line to be split when an airbag is deployed. The base material has a tear portion formed on an inner side of a frame than the frame portion in a back surface of the base material. The tear portion has a frame alongside portion formed along the frame portion, a dividing line portion formed along the predetermined dividing line, and a pair of protruding portions protruding toward the frame outside direction from the frame alongside portion and formed so that both skirt ends are connected to the frame alongside portion and vertices are connected to ends of the dividing line portion.

    Abstract: An air bag mounting interior trim that efficiently pressurizes and welds ribs of a retainer and an instrument panel includes: a retainer having a first wall portion disposed at a deployment side of the air bag; and a panel having a second wall portion opposed to the first wall portion, at the deployment side of the first wall portion. The first and second wall portions each have an inclined face inclined in a pressurizing direction at assembly of the retainer and the panel.     Abstract: While feeding an upholstery member, a sewing needle is reciprocated to form needle receiving holes, and an upper thread is passed through each needle receiving hole, caused to cross a lower thread, and pulled out of the needle receiving hole.     Abstract: An instrument panel has a base member and a cover member, which is adhered to the top surface of the base member. A first cleavage groove serving as a start point of rupture of the base member caused by inflation pressure of an airbag is formed in the back surface of the base member.
