摘要: An incoming call notification is performed based on a caller number extracted from a call-in signal and a user status stored in a user status storage unit, and thereby, the incoming call is notified adequately in accordance with the user status and a caller. For example, the contents of the incoming call notification is changed in accordance with a busyness of a user or an importance of the caller, and thereby, a flexible response by the user becomes possible.

摘要: A line-illuminating device comprises a white casing, a bar-shaped light guide housed within the casing, and light-emitting units provided on opposite ends of the bar-shaped light guide. The light-emitting unit has a substrate forming a circuit on which a lead wire for power supply is installed. Formed on a surface of the substrate facing the bar-shaped light guide is a window for coupling in which a green-color light-emitting diode and a blue-color light-emitting diode are installed. Likewise, the light-emitting unit has a substrate on which a lead wire for power supply is installed. Formed on a surface of the substrate facing the bar-shaped light guide is a window for coupling in which two red-color light-emitting diodes are installed.

摘要: A bar-shaped light guide is provided to allow its emitting surface to be exposed from a white casing and is provided with a pattern for scattering and reflecting the light on a bottom surface opposite to the emitting surface. This pattern is formed by a white paint or minute irregularities. Further, an end face of the bar-shaped light guide opposite to the incident side is made cube-corner shaped. In other words, the end face is made chevroned by mirror-finished flat surfaces. These flat surfaces are tilted at such an angle that an incident angle θ of the rays of light traveling through the bar-shaped light guide parallel to the longitudinal direction of the bar-shaped light guide is smaller than a critical angle.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a resin optical component in which a light-shielding may easily be formed is provided. A laser beam is focused on a given position in the resin having a high light transmittance to concentrate the energy to the focal point, resulting in a small dot-like discolor by carbonization of resin. A component of small dot-like discolored portions are formed in the resin to provide a light-shielding wall having a high light absorptance in the interior of the resin having a high light transmittance. The light-shielding wall may remove the stray light which is the light that is obliquely incident on a lens, passes through the lens array plate in a thickness direction thereof, and outgoes from the neighbored lenses.

摘要: The present invention provides a light guide, a line-illuminating device, and an image-scanning device that provide excellent uniformity in the amount of light produced. A light-reflecting portion comprised of spherical concave surfaces becomes a reflecting surface having spherical convex surfaces when it is seen from the inside of the light guide. Even when the incident angle of light from the light source unit is slightly offset, the reflection angle in spherical convex surfaces significantly changes, and light is reflected uniformly toward the upper surface serving as a light-emitting surface. In particular, when the fine spherical concave portions of the light-reflecting portion have a small depth, the incident light from the end surface is reflected toward the upper surface, serving as a light-emitting surface, and both side surfaces without reflecting back to the light-emitting unit side, so that uniform reflection can be achieved.

摘要: A light guide capable of reducing the degrading of the read image, even when the document face is raised, by expanding the distribution of light intensities in the longitudinal direction in the position of the irradiated item (document position), and a line illuminator into which the light guide is incorporated. The light guide emits lights incident on an end face from an emitting face extending longitudinally, while having the lights reflected by an internal face of the guide. The sectional shape of the internal face in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction is provided with first and second oval arc curved faces, first and second emitting faces, and a light scattering part formed on the focal position (or a position near the focus) of the oval on the longer axis plane of each oval. The concentrating position of lights reflected by the first curved face and the concentrating position of lights reflected by the second curved face are different from each other.

摘要: The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a resin lens plate being a little in variation in thickness and characteristic. The method forms a resin plate with grooves by means of an extrusion molding method or a casting method. Further, it forms light absorbing films (light shading films) in the grooves of the formed resin plate with grooves, forms convex micro-lenses on the surfaces of the plate by means of a hot-embossing method using a fixed metal mold and a movable metal mold each having spherical micro-depressions arranged regularly at specified intervals on it, and thereby provides a resin lens plate having spherical convex micro-lenses arranged regularly at specified intervals.

摘要: Provided is a method of treating a metal surface, which can improve surface properties of a target metal, such as surface hardness and wear resistance in a simple manner and at low cost using very simple equipment alone, and which can prevent the deterioration of the metal to create high added value. The present invention is comprised of a method of treating a metal surface, characterized in that: heat-treating a target metal (10) to be surface-modified in nitrogen gas atmosphere (S), in such a state where the target metal (10) is buried in a carbon source powder (12) comprising a carbon powder and a powder of iron or an iron alloy mainly comprising iron and containing carbon, whereby the surface of the target metal (10) is at least nitrided or nitrogen-absorbed to modify the surface.
