Abstract: A squeeze film damper bearing assembly includes a bearing and a squirrel cage radially outward of and supporting the bearing. The squirrel cage includes a first piston ring groove, a second piston ring groove, and a first pocket connected to the first piston ring groove. The squeeze film damper bearing assembly also includes a first piston ring configured to fit into the first piston ring groove. The first piston ring includes a first end circumferentially spaced apart from a second end and an ear configured to fit into the first pocket to prevent the first piston ring from rotating in the first piston ring groove. The squeeze film damper bearing assembly also includes a second piston ring configured to fit into the second piston ring groove and a stationary housing radially outward of the squirrel cage.

Abstract: A damped anti-rotational system is provided comprising a pawl carrier having an axis of rotation, a pawl pivotably mounted to the pawl carrier on a pivot joint, the pawl having a contact portion and a counterweight portion, a stop pin axially disposed in the pawl carrier and configured to contact the contact portion of the pawl in response to radially inward movement of the pawl, wherein the stop pin is mounted to the pawl carrier at a forward portion of the stop pin and an aft portion of the stop pin, wherein a forward O ring is disposed on the forward portion of the stop pin and an aft O ring is disposed on the aft portion of the stop pin.

Abstract: An oil nozzle assembly includes a nozzle body and a nozzle insert. The nozzle body includes a main portion, a tip portion, and a lip. The tip portion is connected to the main portion. The lip extends outwards from the tip portion and has an outer width. The nozzle insert includes a sleeve, an endwall connected to the sleeve, an orifice, and a retention element. The orifice is disposed in the endwall and is fluidly connected to the tip portion of the nozzle body. The retention element extends inward from the sleeve. A portion of the retention element has an inner width that is less than the outer width of the lip. The nozzle insert is disposed onto the tip portion of the nozzle body.
