摘要: An additive method of forming a metallic nanoparticle microdot on a substrate is disclosed. The method includes: (A) estimating or obtaining a position of an outlet of a capillary tube at zero height above the substrate (zero-height position); (B) extruding a metallic nanoparticle composition from the outlet at a first height h1 above the zero-height position, including forming a fluid bridge between the outlet and the substrate; (C) optionally lifting the capillary tube relative to the substrate by a height increment of Dh while continuing to extrude the metallic nanoparticle composition from the outlet; and (D) rapidly lifting the capillary tube to separate the outlet from the fluid bridge.

摘要: A nozzle for producing microparticles includes a nozzle body having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end. The nozzle body further includes a through-hole extending from the first end through the second end. A fluid passageway is defined in the through-hole and forms a filling port in the first end of the nozzle body and a plurality of outlet ports in the second end of the nozzle body. The nozzle body further includes an oscillating device and an amplifying portion. The oscillating device is connected to the amplifying portion. The amplifying portion surrounds the fluid passageway and is located adjacent to the second end of the nozzle body.

摘要: A valve manifold includes a housing defining an inlet port and a plurality of outlet ports. Each of the plurality of outlet ports defines a sealing face. The manifold also includes a plurality of poppets, wherein each of the plurality of poppets is disposed within a respective one of the plurality of outlet ports and is configured for translating towards and away from the sealing face. The manifold also includes a plurality of actuators each configured for translating a respective one of the plurality of poppets towards and away from the sealing face, wherein each of the plurality of actuators is formed from a shape memory alloy transitionable between a first state and a second state in response to a thermal activation signal. A washer system, a device, and a method of simultaneously controlling fluid flow to a first component and a second component of the device are also disclosed.

摘要: A novel hose nozzle has a cup shaped capture nozzle housing with a curved shape similar to the mating O-ring. The cup shaped ends of the nozzle create a 45 degree angle. The novel shape of the ends of the nozzle traps the O-ring at the same radius of the O-ring. Rounding off the end of the nozzle permit the ends to have a radius equivalent to the O-ring. The O-ring is aligned with the nozzle, because there is no longer a round item trying to fit onto a flat surface. This design stabilizes the end of the nozzle, and keeps the nozzle from becoming crooked. The mating surfaces between the nozzle cup and the O-ring are the same. The O-ring mating surface has a complementary shape to the nozzle mating surface and the radius at the end of the nozzle preferably matches the radius of the O-ring.

The method includes providing a stepped pattern in at least one layer of material on a surface of the mask substrate. The stepped pattern includes at least two steps and at least three levels. Each level of the stepped pattern provides a different intensity of light when a light source shines light on the stepped pattern.
