Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide an intelligent MEC resource scheduling service. A network device in a MEC network stores, in a memory, threshold values indicating overload conditions for resource usage by a first MEC cluster; monitors resource usage in the first MEC cluster; determines, based on the monitoring, when one of the threshold values is reached; identifies available resources in a second MEC cluster; and re-directs, based on the identifying, at least some of the resource usage from the first MEC cluster to the second MEC cluster.

Abstract: An exemplary system generates a plurality of different content files each including data representative of content of a virtual reality world, and provides the plurality of different content files to a media player device via a network. In particular, the generated and provided plurality of different content files comprises at least one of a plurality of uniform-resolution content files and a plurality of mixed-resolution content files. The plurality of uniform-resolution content files are each associated with a different respective center point within the virtual reality world. The plurality of mixed-resolution content files each correspond to one respective content sector of a plurality of partially overlapping content sectors that together form a view of the virtual reality world associated with a single center point, the one respective content sector being encoded in a high resolution while a remainder of the content sectors are encoded in a low resolution.

Abstract: An exemplary interactive media content provider system generates overall data representative of interactive media content. The exemplary interactive media content provider system concurrently provides the overall data to both a first media player device associated with a first user and a second media player device associated with a second user by way of a point-to-multipoint media delivery protocol. The first media player device and the second media player device may each be configured to render different portions of the overall data to respective display screens of the media player devices at a particular point in time based on different user input from the first user and the second user, respectively, as the first user and the second user independently interact with the interactive media content. Corresponding methods and systems are also described.

Abstract: A network device may determine, based on a provisioning request to host an application platform, a configuration of resources of a network for maintaining the application platform within the network. The network device may provision the resources to permit access to the application platform via a domain. The network device may receive, from a user device, a domain request that includes the domain, wherein the domain request is associated with configuring an application session between an application of the user device and the application platform. The network device may provide, to the user device, a response that includes an address of a host resource of the application platform, wherein the host resource is one of the resources. Abstract: A provider receives a message from a user device requesting that the provider share user credentials associated with a user of the user device with a second provider when the user is attempting to enroll with or access goods or services associated with the second provider via an application on the user device. The message requests that the provider send the user credentials to the user device. The provider determines whether the user has been authenticated by the provider and whether a trust relationship exists between the provider and the second provider. The provider sends the user credentials to the user device when the user has been authenticated by the provider and when the trust relationship exists between the provider and the second provider. The user device forwards the user credentials to the second provider and the second provider authenticates the user based on the user credentials.
