Abstract: A server device may receive a call setup request from a first user device; provide the call setup request towards a second user device; receive a provisional response message based on providing the call setup request; and provide the provisional response message towards the first user device. The first or second user device may be connected to a network device to provide or receive the call setup request, the provisional, a response to the call setup request, or an acknowledgement. The server device may provide, based on receiving the call setup request or the provisional response, one or more messages towards the first user device or towards the second user device to prevent the first or second user device from disconnecting from the network device, to reduce a delay in receiving by the first user device, the provisional response and the response to the call setup request.

Abstract: An access control device may include logic configured to receive a request from a user device to set up a packet connection for an emergency session to a packet data network via an access network. The logic may be further configured to determine a location associated with the user device; identify a public safety answering point associated with the determined location; determine whether a connection capacity associated with the identified public safety answering point has been reached; and reject the request to set up the packet connection for the emergency session, in response to determining that the connection capacity associated with the identified public safety answering point has been reached.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium provide to store packet data network (PDN) connection data pertaining to a user equipment connected to a network; store locale-to-packet data network gateway (PGW) data, wherein the locale-to-PGW data includes mappings between locales and PGWs to be used when the user equipment is located in the locales; receive a locale update pertaining to the user equipment; query the locale-to-PGW data in response to the locale update; determine, based on a result of the query, whether the user equipment is to be re-anchored to a different PGW than a PGW to which the user equipment is currently anchored; invoke a re-anchoring procedure, in response to a determination that the user equipment is to be re-anchored to the different PGW; and omit to invoke the re-anchoring procedure, in response to a determination that the user equipment is not to be re-anchored.

Abstract: A device may determine a first baseline measurement. The device may determine a first location associated with the device. The device may store information identifying the first baseline measurement and the first location associated with the device. The device may determine a second baseline measurement. The device may determine that the second baseline measurement differs from the first baseline measurement by a threshold quantity. The device may determine a second location associated with the device based on determining that the second baseline measurement differs from the first baseline measurement by the threshold quantity. The second location may be different from the first location. The device may provide information associated with the second baseline measurement and/or the second location.
