摘要： A transmitting system, a receiving system, and a method of processing broadcast signals are disclosed. The method for transmitting a broadcast signal includes multiplexing a specified number of mobile data packets, a first scalable number of mobile data packets, and a second scalable number of main data packets, interleaving mobile data in the mobile data packets and main data in the main data packets, transmitting the interleaved mobile and main data during a slot, the slot during which the main data and a data group including the mobile data are transmitted, the data group including a plurality of regions, the plurality of regions including data blocks, each data block including a plurality of data segments, wherein a first and second regions include a primary ensemble of the mobile data, known data sequences and signaling bytes for signaling the mobile data, a third, fourth and fifth regions include a secondary ensemble of the mobile data, and the fifth region includes the first scalable number of mobile data packets.

摘要： A digital broadcasting system and a method for transmitting and receiving digital broadcast signal are disclosed. The method for processing a digital broadcast signal comprises processing the digital broadcast signal in at least two transmission modes, wherein the processing comprises first processing for a first transmission mode comprising forming a data group including mobile service data and place holder data for main service data, an MPEG-2 header and non-systematic RS parity data, removing the place holder data for main service data and non-systematic RS parity data in the data group, replacing the place holder data for the MPEG-2 header with an MPEG-2 header having a packet ID of mobile service data packets, thereby forming and outputting 118 mobile service data packets including data in the data group, multiplexing the outputted mobile service data packets and 38 main service data packets. Second processing for a second transmission mode of the processing comprises forming a data group including mobile service data, forming and outputting M numbers of mobile service data packets including data in the data group, wherein the M is an integer equal to or greater than 118 and equal to or less than 156, multiplexing the outputted mobile service data packets and N numbers of main service data packets when the N is not zero, wherein a sum of the M and N is 156 and transmitting the first and second processed digital broadcast signal.

摘要： A digital broadcasting system and a method for transmitting and receiving digital broadcast signal are disclosed. The method of transmitting digital broadcast signal includes convolutional encoding mobile data to build SCCC blocks, generating signaling data, forming a first data group and a second data group which includes mobile service data and the signaling data, interleaving data including the mobile service data in the first and second data groups and outputting a interleaved first data group and an interleaved second data group, wherein at least one of the SCCC blocks include an extension data block from the interleaved first data group and a data block from the interleaved second data group, transmitting the digital broadcasting signal including the first data group and the second data group.

摘要： A transmitting system, a receiving system, a method of processing broadcast signals and a method of receiving broadcast signals are disclosed.The method for transmitting a broadcast signal in a transmitter includes encoding mobile data for forward error correction (FEC) to build Reed-Solomon (RS) frames and dividing the built RS frames into RS frame portions, dividing the RS frame portions into Serially Concatenated Convolutional Code (SCCC) blocks and mapping the SCCC blocks to data blocks and scalable data blocks, corresponding to a plurality of data segments, wherein at least one of the SCCC blocks includes one of the data blocks and one of the scalable data blocks, encoding signaling data including a header and a payload, forming data groups including the data blocks and the scalable data blocks, wherein specific data blocks of the data blocks in the data groups include the signaling data having information for a number of ensembles being a collection of services transmitted through the data groups, interleaving data in the data groups, wherein the interleaved data includes a plurality of data segments, and wherein at least one of the plurality of data segments includes a part of one of the data blocks and a part of one of the scalable data blocks and transmitting the interleaved data during slots in a transmission frame.

Data groups are formed, the data groups including a first data group, a second data group and a third data group. The digital broadcast signal including the data groups is transmitted, the signaling data including first information indicating whether a segmented known data sequence of the second data group is concatenated to a segmented known data sequence of the first data group to form a known data sequence, and/or second information indicating whether a segmented known data sequence of the second data group is concatenated to a segmented known data sequence of the third data group to form a known data sequence.

摘要： The disclosed method of processing a digital broadcast signal comprises generating one RS frame or two RS frames for a data group, forming the data group being divided to 5 data regions, wherein the 5 data regions include a first data region which is located at central of the data group, a second data region which is concentric about the first data region, a third data region which is concentric about the first and second data region, a fourth data region which is concentric about the first, second and third data region and a fifth data region which includes scalable amount of the mobile service data, wherein the fifth data region includes 5 extended data blocks, and wherein data in one of the 5 extended data blocks are merged into the data blocks of the first data region when the one RS frame is generated for the data group.

摘要： A method and apparatus for transmitting a broadcast signal in a transmitter are disclosed. The apparatus includes an RS encoder 212 configured to encode mobile data for forward error correction (FEC), a group formatter 214 configured to form a data group using (or including) the encoded mobile data and known data sequence, a packet formatter 216 configured to form a specified number of mobile data packets and a first scalable number of mobile data packets by using the data included in the data group, a packet multiplexer (MUX) 120 configured to multiplex the formed mobile data packets and a second scalable number of main data packets, a data interleaver 1502 configured to interleave data of the multiplexed data packets, and a transmission unit 170 configured to transmit the interleaved data. Herein, the known data are spotted in the interleaved data.
