    摘要： A digital broadcasting system and a method for transmitting and receiving digital broadcast signal are disclosed. The method of processing a digital broadcast signal comprises encoding signaling information for mobile data, forming data groups including mobile data, a plurality of long known data sequences, a plurality of segmented known data sequences and the encoded signaling information, interleaving data in the data groups, transmitting the digital broadcast signal including the data groups having the interleaved data, and wherein the signaling information includes concatenation information indicating whether the segmented known data sequences are concatenated between the data groups included in the digital broadcast signal.

    摘要： The disclosed method of processing a digital broadcast signal comprises generating one RS frame or two RS frames according to the RS frame mode, forming the data group including the mobile service data and signaling data, forming and outputting a plurality of data packets including the mobile service data in the data group, wherein the 118 data packets and K data packets are outputted for the data group, the K being scalable between 0 and 38, interleaving the mobile service data included in the plurality of data packets, wherein the data group includes a scalable data region including data included in the K data packets, wherein the scalable data region carries data included in the first RS frame when the RS frame mode is the single frame mode, or carries data included in the third RS frame when the RS frame mode is the dual frame mode.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for transmitting a broadcast signal in a transmitter are disclosed. The apparatus includes an RS encoder 212 configured to encode mobile data for forward error correction (FEC), a group formatter 214 configured to form a data group using (or including) the encoded mobile data and known data sequence, a packet formatter 216 configured to form a specified number of mobile data packets and a first scalable number of mobile data packets by using the data included in the data group, a packet multiplexer (MUX) 120 configured to multiplex the formed mobile data packets and a second scalable number of main data packets, a data interleaver 1502 configured to interleave data of the multiplexed data packets, and a transmission unit 170 configured to transmit the interleaved data. Herein, the known data are spotted in the interleaved data.

The method for transmitting a broadcast signal includes multiplexing a specified number of mobile data packets, a first scalable number of mobile data packets, and a second scalable number of main data packets, interleaving mobile data in the mobile data packets and main data in the main data packets, transmitting the interleaved mobile and main data during a slot, the slot during which the main data and a data group including the mobile data are transmitted, the data group including a plurality of regions, the plurality of regions including data blocks, each data block including a plurality of data segments, wherein a first and second regions include a primary ensemble of the mobile data, known data sequences and signaling bytes for signaling the mobile data, a third, fourth and fifth regions include a secondary ensemble of the mobile data, and the fifth region includes the first scalable number of mobile data packets.

    摘要： A digital broadcasting system and a method for transmitting and receiving a digital broadcast signal are provided. The method includes processing a digital broadcast signal in at least two transmission modes, the processing including first processing for a first transmission mode and second processing for a second transmission mode. The first processing includes forming a data group including mobile service data and place holder data for main service data, removing the place holder data for main service data and non-systemic RS parity data in the data group, forming and outputting 118 mobile service data packets including data in the data group, and multiplexing the output mobile service data packets and 38 main service data packets. The second processing includes forming a data group including mobile service data, forming and outputting M numbers of mobile service data packets including data in the data group, and transmitting the first and second processed digital broadcast signal.

The method of processing a digital broadcasting signal in a transmitter includes performing RS (Reed-Solomon) encoding on signaling data containing cross layer information between a physical layer and a upper layer, wherein the signaling data includes a first field indicating a protocol version change of the signaling data, a second field indicating a length of an extension field of a header included in the signaling data, and at least one field indicating a number of ensembles for at least one of a first transmission mode and a second transmission mode, and wherein the ensembles include a collection of services, each of the services being a package of packetized streams of mobile service data, forming data groups including the signaling data and the mobile service data, forming mobile service data packets including the signaling data and the mobile service data in the data groups, transmitting the digital broadcasting signal including the mobile service data packets during slots, wherein the first transmission mode is a mode in which the mobile service data are transmitted while reserving greater than 118 packets out of 156 packets in the slot and the second transmission mode is a mode in which the mobile service data are transmitted while reserving less than or equal to 118 packets out of 156 packets in the slot.
