摘要: A carbon monoxide removing catalyst whose catalytic activity is higher than conventional carbon-monoxide-methanation-reaction catalyst comprising an oxide support containing an oxide containing Co and Zr, and a Ru, Pt, Rh and/or Pd noble metal catalyst loaded on the oxide support, capable of removing carbon monoxide by means of carbon monoxide methanation reaction. The carbon monoxide removing catalyst has higher catalytic activity with respect to carbon monoxide methanation at low temperatures, compared with carbon monoxide removing catalysts which use oxides of Zr—Fe, Zr—Mn, and the like, or zirconia, as the support. A number-of-atom ratio of Co/Zr can be 1/3 or more and 3/1 or less.

摘要: Data is recorded in an optical storage medium with a beam having a wavelength in a 650-nm band. The medium has a substrate, a first laminated layer structure formed on the substrate and having at least a first reflective film and a first recording film, and a second laminated layer structure formed over the first structure and having at least a second reflective film and a second recording film. The data is recorded in at least one of specific sections of the first recording film, with a beam having a wavelength in a 650-nm band and a beam spot having a specific area. The first structure satisfies requirements Tc≦Tr≦60% and 9%≦Rr≦Rc≦15% wherein Tc and Rc are a transmissivity and a reflectivity, respectively, of the first structure when the first recording film has no data recorded therein after initialized, and Tr and Rr are a transmissivity and a reflectivity, respectively, of the first structure when the first recording film has the data recorded therein. The transmissivity Tc and the reflectivity Rc, and the transmissivity Tr and the reflectivity Rr are exhibited by the first structure when the beam is emitted thereto through the substrate as a parallel beam having a sectional area in a direction orthogonal to another direction in which the beam travels. The sectional area is larger than the specific area. Data is recorded in the second recording film through the substrate and the data-recorded specific section of the first recording film. The second structure exhibits a reflectivity of 5% or higher but 10% or lower when the beam is focused onto the second recording film, as having the beam spot having the specific area, through the substrate and the first structure, and when the first recording film has the data recorded therein.

摘要: A color-developing composite short fiber having a length of 0.01 to 100 mm is obtained by cutting a color-developing short fiber capable of reflecting visible rays and interfering with visible rays consisting of two or more kinds or polymer compounds having different refractive indices which are laminated alternately. A color-developing structure is formed by binding particles of the short fiber to one another, dispersing the short fiber in a mixture with other materials or adhering the short fiber on the surface of a support. Further, a color-developing composite short fiber having a length of 0.01 to 100 mm is obtained by cutting a color-developing composite fiber comprising two or more polymer compounds having different refractive indices which are laminated alternately forming a layer capable of reflecting visible rays and interfering therewith and a layer capable of reflecting invisible rays and interfering therewith.

摘要: A cable steering device is provided such that it can be easily and reliably confirmed whether an inner cable of a Bowden cable is precisely wound around a pulley housed in a housing. Two inner cables are wound around a helical groove defined in an outer peripheral surface of a driven pulley connected to a steering wheel through a driven shaft. An opening is defined in a driven pulley housing enclosing the driven pulley, so that when the steering wheel is assembled to the driven shaft by a spline, it can be confirmed from the outside that the two inner cables have been wound precisely in two turns around the driven pulley.

摘要: A steering-wheel lock mechanism is provided at a position in which a driver can easily operate the lock mechanism in a cable-type steering device, and prevents a large load from being applied to Bowden wires. Bowden wires, wound around and fixed to a driving pulley mounted in a rotary shaft of a steering wheel, are connected to a steering gear box. A cylinder lock operated by an ignition key is mounted on a driving-pulley housing having the driving pulley accommodated therein. By bringing a lock pin protruding from the cylinder lock, operated to a lock position, into engagement into a lock bore in the driving pulley, the rotation of the driving pulley is inhibited to lock the steering wheel.
