Abstract:
The present invention relates to a remote monitoring system and a method controlling the same, which can selectively monitor according to a condition of power and a control of devices including a washer and a dryer installed in a remote place. The remote monitoring system comprises a communication module provided in each device for transmitting monitoring information after identifying an operation condition of each device according to a user's demand; and a remote monitoring unit for selecting a device to be monitored based on a result after identifying a power condition of each device, as well as displaying an operation condition of each device based on the transmitted monitoring information and the control of each device.
Abstract:
A robot cleaner having a configuration capable of improving an ability to collect dust, etc. is disclosed. The robot cleaner includes a suction hole to suction dust, a dust collector to receive the dust suctioned through the suction hole, and a rotating brush provided at a side of the suction hole. The robot cleaner is configured to sweep up and collect the dust into the dust collector by a drive force of the rotating brush.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a nipple sterilizer which may easily sterilize the nipple of a nursing bottle. According to an aspect of the invention, there is provided a nipple sterilizer comprising a body 10 which has an opening 12 at its lower surface and is to be mounted at a nursing bottle 2 in order that the nipple 6 of the bottle 2 may be inserted through the opening 12 and may be covered thereby, a sterilization lamp 20 which is positioned inside the body 10 and sterilizes the nipple 6, an electric power source 30 which is positioned inside the body 10 in order to be connected to the sterilization lamp 20, a switch 40 which is electrically connected between the electric power source 30 and the sterilization lamp 20 and makes the sterilization lamp 20 switched on and off.
Abstract:
Provided is a method and apparatus for encoding and decoding multi-view video data. The encoding method includes: decomposing each view image of the multi-view video into an overlapped region and a non-overlapped region, the overlapped region being overlapped with other view image and the non-overlapped region not being overlapped with other view image; generating a stitched image by combining the non-overlapped region of each view image and a middle view image; encoding the stitched image using a first encoding algorithm; and encoding the overlapped region of each view image, using a second encoding algorithm. Further, the decomposing step includes the steps of estimating disparity information for each view image, based on a predetermined view image; and decomposing each view image into said overlapped region and said non-overlapped region using the estimated disparity information.
Abstract:
A robot cleaner system and a control method thereof reduce manufacturing costs, expand a detected distance, and precisely control a movement and positioning of a robot cleaner. The robot cleaner system includes a robot cleaner and a station. One of the robot cleaner and the station transmits a signal of a predetermined frequency and the other receives the signal so that a direction toward the transmitting side for transmitting the signal is detected based on a Doppler shift observed by the receiving side that receives the signal.
Abstract:
Non-volatile memory devices and methods for fabricating non-volatile memory devices are disclosed. More specifically, split gate memory devices are provided having frameworks that provide increased floating gate coupling ratios, thereby enabling enhanced programming and erasing efficiency and performance.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a memory device by using a single transistor, comprising a circuit including a gate of a memory cell and a P type well substrate for inputting(writing) information and another circuit including a source and a drain for outputting(reading) information. In other word, the memory device includes an information input/output circuit by using a pair of respective read and write terminals. The transistor comprises a source, a drain, and a ferroelectric element gate which are formed in a P type(or N type) well substrate. And the present invention provides a fabrication method for manufacturing the memory circuit, comprising depositing the P type (or N type) well structure on a Si wafer and forming the source, the drain and then the gate in the P type(or N type) well structure.
Abstract:
Provided is a duct which is installed adjacent to a wall-type air conditioner to pass through a pipe connected to the air conditioner, which includes a base housing installed on a wall surface adjacent to the air conditioner, a horizontal partition wall disposed at the front side of the base housing to divide the inside of the duct into an upper space and a lower space, an upper housing covering the upper space, a translucent reservoir detachably mounted on a lower portion of the horizontal partition wall in response to the lower space and collecting condensed water generated from the air conditioner through an inlet formed in the horizontal partition wall, and a pump module installed in the upper space to discharge the condensed water collected in the reservoir. The reservoir is positioned below the upper housing and the horizontal partition wall to be always exposed to the outside.
Abstract:
Methods of controllably creating three-dimensional (3D) combined-flow-interface patterns in multi-lane fluidic devices, and systems, apparatuses and software therefor. In one example, the 3D-pattern is created and varied as a function of one or more of the geometry of the inlets to a main fluidic channel in which the 3D-pattern is formed, the Reynolds number of the flows, the dimensions of the main fluidic channel and the inlets, and the spacing of adjacent inlets. In one embodiment particularly disclosed, differing 3D combined-flow-interface patterns are created using a three-lane fluidic device having a fixed inlet geometry. In another embodiment particularly disclosed, differing 3D combined-flow-interface patterns are created using a five-lane fluidic device having a fixed inlet geometry that can be used to effectively mimic variable inlet geometries.
