Abstract: The present disclosure provides an organic compound characterized by electronic polarizability and having a following general structural formula: where Core is an aromatic polycyclic conjugated molecule, R1 is group providing solubility of the organic compound in an organic solvent, n is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8, R2 is substitute located in apex positions, R3 and R4 are substitutes located in side (lateral) positions and, the core has flat anisometric form and the R2 substitutes are selected from hydrogen and electrophilic groups (acceptors) and R3 substitutes and R4 substitutes are independently selected from hydrogen and nucleophilic groups (donors) or vice versa R3 substitutes and R4 substitutes are independently selected from hydrogen and nucleophilic groups (donors) and R2 substitutes are selected from hydrogen and electrophilic groups (acceptors), and the substitutes R2, R3 and R4 cannot all be hydrogen.

Abstract: A capacitive energy storage module (CESM) is provided under a floor panel of an electric vehicle. The CESM is a pack of capacitive energy storage cells (CESCs) which are themselves one or more capacitive energy storage devices (CESDs) comprising one or more metacapacitors. The CESM is arranged between a pair of right and left side members. The CESM is provided with a CESM case. The CESM case includes a tray member and cover member. Electric components are contained in the CESM case. Beam members made of metal are attached to the tray member. Both end portions of these beam members are supported by the side members. The tray member includes a resin and insert members made of metal provided inside the resin. The insert members include metal plates arranged on the front side and rear side of the electric components.

Abstract: An electro-polarizable compound has the following general formula: Core1 is an aromatic polycyclic conjugated molecule having two-dimensional flat form and that self-assembles to form supramolecular structures. R1 are electron donor groups connected to Core1 and R1′ are electron acceptor groups connected to Corel, m is number of acceptor groups R1, m′ is a number of donor groups R′. The numbers m and m′ are equal to 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, but both m and m′ are not both equal to 0. R2 is a substituent comprising one or more ionic groups connected to Core1 directly or via a connecting group; a number p of ionic groups R2 is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. The fragment marked NLE has a nonlinear effect of polarization. Core2 is a self-assembling electro-conductive oligomer, a number n of the such oligomers is 0, 2, or 4. R3 is a substituent comprising one or more ionic groups connected to Core2; a number s of the ionic groups R3 is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. R4 is a resistive substituent electrically insulating the supramolecular structures from each other. A number k of substituents R4 is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8.

Abstract: A self-healing capacitor comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and a dielectric layer disposed between said first and second electrodes and having first surface faced the first electrode and second surface faced the second electrode. At least one of the electrodes can include metal foam. The dielectric layer can have electrically conductive channels that each has an exit point located on the first surface of the dielectric layer and another exit point located on the second surface of the dielectric layer. The electrodes can include local contact breakers each of which is located within the electrode at an interface between the dielectric layer and the electrode and opposite at least one exit point of each electrically conductive channel in the dielectric layer. The local contact breakers can prevent electric current through the conductive channels in dielectric layer.

Abstract: A capacitor based energy storage system (CBESS) and methods of using it are disclosed. The CBESS uses meta-capacitors in its capacitive energy storage devices (CESD) to configure capacitive energy storage cells (CESC), which are used to configure capacitive energy storage modules (CESM) to achieve the CBESS's function as an uninterruptible power supply. The CBESS is connected to a power generation system (PGS), a load, and a power grid. When the grid is in an abnormal state, the CESM is simultaneously charged with power from the PGS and used to supply power to the load. If a remaining amount of power of a CESM is less than a predetermined level, the CESM is charged with power from PGS or grid. The CBESS interfaces with a computer system or network to buy or sell electricity to the grid depending on grid electricity cost and CESD charging states.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a plasma electric propulsion device comprising a capacitive energy storage device as a power source for an engine configured to heat and/or ionize and/or accelerate a propellant due to action of an electric field and/or magnetic field.
